Who would like to share a request or praise today?
And it’s Thursday, so don’t forget the folks in PNG.
Psalm 84
¹How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Another lunch hour downpour today. We had the weekend and two school days to be able to walk the covered walkway to the office and staff room. Today they put up tape again and wanted us to walk down to the basketball court. I did sneak under the tape when it was raining hard. Sigh, it is so hard not to be whiny.
We spent a good portion of the morning at Emory Healthcare. Husband got some testing done. He is being put on short term steroid to give relief for back pain and breathing difficulty. His heart xray was good. Will get blood test results later. So glad things are being taken seriously.
At one point when we went to Radiology we found ourselves sharing the waiting space with the student counseling area. I was rather shocked that in the room was a sign on the wall with an attached container. The sign said Free Condoms. Now that is something to pray about. It’s almost like the students who need to see a psych person are being told to get a condom and that will make everything right that ails you. Prayers for students on liberal campuses, please.
Visited AB again today. He is wasting away. Didn’t share the gospel again, but read some Wolof folk tales and Daniel in the lion’s den. Prayed aloud for him before I left. Feeling helpless.
Thank you for thinking of me today and praying for me. I do appreciate it and your prayers for BG as well. When I logged in earlier today and saw the above post it gave me a boost through the day. Today I have had more clarity than I have in quite a while. I had an epiphany today that I may share later.
