1. Another mass shooting at Ft. Hood.
From NBCNews “Four people were dead, including the gunman, and at least 11 others were wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood, Texas, military officials told NBC News.
The gunman, identified as Ivan Lopez, 34 — an enlisted soldier — took his own life, officials said.
Three other people died in local hospitals, they said. The conditions of the 11 people who were wounded were unreported, but military officials said one was in “extremely grave” condition.
Doctors at Scott & White Memorial Hospital said they were treating four patients, some stable and others in “quite critical” condition. Two more patients were en route and were expected to be taken directly to surgery for what were described as very serious injuries.”

2. Will liberals still claim it’s a myth?
From PJMedia “The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings suggest widespread election fraud.
-
765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
-
35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
-
155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.
The second point is key, as double voting is election fraud under state and federal statutes. Punishment for double voting in federal elections can include jail time.”

3. Another state smartens up.
From TulsaWorld “The Oklahoma Senate on Tuesday passed a bill that would repeal a controversial set of academic standards known as Common Core.”

4. Maybe this explains why the PETA types are so cranky and miserable.
From Atlanta/CBSLocal “Vegetarians may have a lower BMI and drink alcohol sparingly, but vegetarian diets are tied to generally poorer health, poorer quality of life and a higher need for health care than their meat-eating counterparts.
A new study from the Medical University of Graz in Austria finds that vegetarians are more physically active, drink less alcohol and smoke less tobacco than those who consume meat in their diets. Vegetarians also have a higher socioeconomic status and a lower body mass index. But the vegetarian diet — characterized by a low consumption of saturated fats and cholesterol that includes increased intake of fruits, vegetables and whole-grain products — carries elevated risks of cancer, allergies and mental health disorders.
Vegetarians were twice as likely to have allergies, a 50 percent increase in heart attacks and a 50 percent increase in incidences of cancer.”

I wonder if people who already have heath problems and emotional issues are more likely to try a vegetarian diet.

I think strict vegetarian diets are bad for your teeth, too. Not that we all shouldn’t be eating more whole fruits and vegetables every day …

Wow! Donna, What a load of crap!
Origin of the word “crap”
It has often been claimed in popular culture that the slang term for human bodily waste, “crap”, originated with Thomas Crapper because of his association with lavatories. The most common version of this story is that American servicemen stationed in England during World War I saw his name on cisterns and used it as army slang, i.e. “I’m going to the crapper”.[10]
The word crap is actually of Middle English origin; and predates its application to bodily waste. Its most likely etymological origin is a combination of two older words, the Dutch krappen: to pluck off, cut off, or separate; and the Old French crappe: siftings, waste or rejected matter (from the medieval Latin crappa, chaff).[10] In English, it was used to refer to chaff, and also to weeds, or other rubbish. Its first application to bodily waste, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, appeared in 1846 under a reference to a crapping ken, or a privy, where ken means a house.[10] From Wikipedia in the article about Thomas Crapper.
Boy, am I surprised at this definition. Well anyway, back to politics.
Evidently, Liberals just don’t understand conservatives. I sure do think most of this article is wrong headed. This author is floating off in Lala Land. She needs to move to Venice Beach so she won’t be lonely.

Some have found it disastrous to crow about victory too early. Things can change quickly, especially when the Lord is involved. Trying to build lives on things that are not true and have no real foundation, will always leave one flailing for stability. Christians need to rest on the Rock and be ready, willing and able to help others to do the same. That is the real culture war.

Anyone see the news that the CEO of Mozilla was chased out of the company for supporting CA’s Prop 8? Mozilla is saying that forcing the guy to leave demonstrates that corporate America is “inclusive, safe, and welcoming to all.” Yep, that’s how you cover hypocrisy with doublespeak.

solarpancake, yup. Powerline calls it the “most ominous news story” of the day.

“… This is something new in our history, as far as I know. Until now, private citizens could hold whatever political beliefs they wanted, and support political causes as they chose. … What we see here is, I think, a harbinger of things to come. The Left is mobilized and on the march, and has no intention of taking any prisoners. Anyone who thinks some kind of accommodation or compromise can be reached with these people is mistaken. … This sort of totalitarianism is not unique to the gay marriage issue. Global warming hysterics are now arguing that those who disagree with them should be imprisoned. Seriously; even though it is the realists, not the alarmists, who win all the arguments. When you can’t win the argument, what do you do? Throw your opponent in jail, or get him fired. Liberals have no intention of living in a pluralistic society. …”

Actually quite terrifying. 😮
Perhaps — with so much over-reach — people may begin to come to their senses about how totalitarian these attitudes and actions are becoming.
I saw one commenter on a fb post by Tammy say that while she supports gay marriage, some of the gay marriage tactics and behavior to now silence any and all dissent on the matter is making her uneasy (as it should).
There is still a ‘soft’ middle in this debate, people who are prone to just go along with the majority without a lot of deep thinking. These kinds of stories may (should) cause alarm.

Donna J, I don’t think most young Americans are coming back. The perverts have indoctrinated them in public schools and universities just as thoroughly as the Hitler Youth were brainwashed. Fortunately, the youth of Russia, India, China and most of the rest of Asia (not to mention Africa and much of Latin America) have not been similarly brainwashed. These countries are now waking up to the fact that the depravity that has engulfed the US and Western Europe could spread to their countries.
