Prayer Requests 2-6-14

Anyone have a request or praise to share today?

Psalm 16

¹Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

  1. We are having a Women’s Retreat this weekend at church. Two weeks from now there will be a Men’s Retreat. I would appreciate prayers for the Women of COTA over the weekend.

  2. Heavenly Father,

    Our sister in Christ. Kim, will be at a women’s retreat and You know aa the ladies and the leaders who will be in attendance. Please give them safety in traveling to and from. Bless them with refreshment in Your word, through community prayer and shared fun and inspiration. You know the needs of each who will attend. If any of the ladies is going through a particularily rough time in her life, I pray You would make it known what should be done to help her out. You are awesome how You use Your children in helping roles. Thank You for any in attendance who will have new understanding of salvation. May the group have much to celebrate for whatever good surprises you reveal.

    Lord, sometimes we each encounter people in our lives who appear to be inconsiderate and unlovable. I pray for myself on this that You would teach me better ways to reach out in Christian love to such folks. It has to be Christian love because the love does not come naturally. Some people seem to have a mean streak while others don’t have a clue. I try to avoid them. Is that what You wish? Show me what to do, plesse. From what Karen O writes, she has an inconsiderate neighbor who could only be reached through Your supernatural love. If You have any new thing to show Karen about those neighbors that would shed some light I pray for Your quick illumination. Make it known so she can do her part. Some people take effort to be “won over” as friends. Please open doors that have been closed so that there is desire in all neighborhood residents to be helpul and courteous to each other. Please build up rather than breakdown communiation.

    I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
