Anyone have a request or praise they’d like to share?
Psalm 138
¹I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
6 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
My ladies’ Bible study leader forgot to bring the DVD’s today. It’s something I’ve been hoping for – we had a great time of sharing, getting to know each other better, reading Scripture and praying for each other. There were several quite serious requests today and I would appreciate your prayers for our little group of ladies. Thank you.
I know what you meant Kare. It always frustrated me that the College & Careers group my siblings attended had DVDs instead of Bible studies. I always wanted to be able to discuss the Bible, not some talking head’s ideas about religion. However, my siblings did meet their future spouses there… 😆
I have a prayer request for my family. I mentioned a week ago that my father and I were rear ended. The insurance company has decided that the repair job is more than the worth of the van. Now, this is my parents’ only vehicle and they are on a fixed income, so this is a real hardship. Pray that the Lord will provide a good replacement vehicle for the amount that the insurance company is giving for the wrecked van.
Praying that God will use this to provide over and abundantly to meet your needs. Father God may you use this for good in Roscuro’s family and provide them with just the right vehicle to meet their needs as only You can.
Roscuro, have they heard an amount yet? I had a car totalled once, hit by a drunk driver, and I was surprised that the amount was quite a bit more than I could have sold it for (it was 15 years old) and enough for a decent used car. I don’t suppose it always works that way, but to me it felt like God’s way of getting me a newer car when I needed one but couldn’t actually afford one.
And, interestingly, my brother is the one who sold me the “newer” car, his late wife’s car, and three years later he bought it back for his stepson to drive. So a new widower sold me a car he didn’t need when I was single, when I married I didn’t need the car, and he did. But neither of us would have pictured that: that he (newly widowed) and I (single) would have our circumstances changed enough maritally that I wouldn’t need the car and he would!
