😦 It is raining
😦 We have a leak in the roof/ceiling
😦 The drip, drip, drip into the bucket woke me
🙂 At least now we know where the leak is and have prevented further damage.
Side note: If you have a leak in the ceiling use a screwdriver and go ahead and poke a hole in the ceiling so the water will drip down in one spot and not “run” , ruining more of the ceiling.
So, yesterday, I started trying to straighten out some paperwork…
🙂 I found one piece of paperwork that needed to be done right away and it got done in time.
😦 While my father drove me to another office for another form, we got rear ended and spent the next two hours reporting to the police and insurance companies.
🙂 I finally got the other form straightened out and got my provincial health coverage back again.
🙂 I made my first visit to a grocery store and managed to keep from being totally overwhelmed.
😦 I got thoroughly tired out yesterday and this morning I woke up with the cold that has been going through the house. That is all I need!
🙂 I love Christmas, but this year I’m glad it’s over. This one was very so-so for me, I never quite got into the swing of it. I’m feeling ready to move on.
😦 Christmas falling on a Wednesday with Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday being all regular work days for us.
😦 Looks like the 60-year-old church building we were hoping to buy has been snagged by cash-in-hand developers who will no doubt tear it down to build new condos. It was just too close to the beach, we were left in the dust of the stampede.
🙂 Wonderful Christmas celebration before Christmas. We kept it very informal and that worked well. All three of our daughters and their husbands and the eight grandchildren were here. The grandchildren had a wonderful time together, for the most part.
🙂 Great sales. I found a great deal on a winter jacket for a birthday, which will be coming up.
🙂 One of my grandsons was quoted in his local paper on the best thing about Christmas. It was Jesus, because he died for our sins. 🙂
It is a lovely name, Linda. Where I come from, both names are French boy’s names 😉 It is interesting how names develop over time and through cultures. There are several famous Joscelins in history, three of them Crusader lords.
🙂 Elsa turns 100 today.
You don’t know Else, but she is one of the ladies that I take to the VIP (Visually Impaired People Rescource Center) on the last Mondy of the month. A Lions project. Elsa is also a member of our SS Department.
But Elsa isn’t here. She leaves every November 1 to her home in Florida. Her permanent residfence is Florida because they don’t have income tax.
Her husband was a doctor. He died several years ago. Elsa was a harpist. She once played for the President at a White House concert.
President Roosevelt. I hope she shows up again at her little house by the lake in May.
🙂 Very close call for me at the dog park — I almost got peed on by a Great Dane. The owner shouted just as his dog started to lift his leg on the chair I was sitting on. Whew!

🙂 We had a wonderful blessed Christmas with my extended family
😦 Son thought and acted like the world revolved around him
🙂 It only took 11 hours to make the usual 9 hour drive home yesterday. Blizzard conditions abounded
🙂 Everyone is glad to be home, especially Keva
😦 Live tree comes down today
😦 Tons of laundry – ugh
🙂 Realized I’d rather know what was going on in your lives, than most of my FB friends’ lives!

We still don’t know how Aj’s electrical problem worked out.
And did Kim’s friend in Va. finish the picture post card’s project?

🙂 The sound of fog horns in the harbor since before the sun came up today. Maybe our days will cool down and not be so dry.
🙂 Just about time to get ready for church. But I see a nap in my future this afternoon.

Linda – Congratulations! Was she born to the same couple with the other two daughters?
