Prayer Requests 12-26-13

Anyone have a request or praise to share?

Psalm 121

¹I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

  1. Remember the cut on Forrest’s finger? It’s doing well, BTW.

But R has Forrest at his place tonight. He is not happy about the cut, & is threatening to call DCF on Emily. Neither Emily nor I are his friends on Facebook, but he sent her a screen shot of what he wrote about it.

He posted a close-up of the cut (meaning he unbandaged it to do so) which made it look worse than it is. Then he wrote that Forrest was playing with a knife unsupervised (untrue), that the cut goes down to the bone (untrue), & that the same bandage had been on it for several days (also untrue).

People were commenting on what a horrible mother Emily must be, & that she should never be able to see her son again.

Based on past experience, this is all for show, to mess with Emily’s heart & mind, & he probably won’t actually do anything about it. (Although he did call DCF with vile & untrue accusations a few months after Emily & Forrest moved in with us.) But for right now, Emily is very upset, in tears.

Also pray for Forrest, too. We know from things that he has said that R tells him what a bad mommy she is, & other things that are upsetting to a sweet little boy who loves his mommy more than anything.

Tomorrow I am going to strongly urge Emily to do whatever she needs to do to get a legal custody arrangement. In the meantime, please pray that God will speak to her through the stress & tears of tonight. Thank you.

  2. Sadly the authorities see many similar cases, Karen. They always have my prayers. No children grow up without accidents, unless they never do anything.
