Here’s another prayer request for my hubby, related to my post on Our Daily Thread @ 10:57am…
We don’t know what to pray for specifically, but are putting the situation into Father God’s hands. We have asked Him to forgive us if we so wrongly misunderstood His leading – we didn’t do so intentionally, we really wanted/want to do His will. We are asking Him to show us what we should do now, to maybe open doors that we may not be aware of. I’m praying He will ease the pressure on Lee, help him to be able to step into a new level of trust, & know in his heart that God will work this all out.
One practical thing that will help is when the girls & Forrest move upstairs, because the almost-constant noise & bustle around the house is really taking its toll on both of us. (Our tenants are planning to be out by the end of January. I’m praying it can be sooner.)
My prayer for him in the meantime is that God will renew his joy in his work, & give him that peace that transcends understanding. I also pray that God will give him “a song in his spirit & a pep in his step”.
I will be praying to that end as well Karen…sometimes I feel as though our Father is looking upon us with a most compassionate smile…cheering us on… desiring us to make it….I imagine his heart is bursting much like us as parents when our child is learning to take their first step…knowing they have to make that accomplishment on their own (complete with falling down, getting back up…falling down and doing it all over again! and our hand is always at the ready to steady them when needed)…He will never leave us nor forsake us…there is peace in the knowing….I pray for a special word of encouragement from Him to you this day dear sister….
How well You provide for us even on those days when we feel depleted of energy and resources. Help us to keep looking up and not down about all of our life situations.Thank You for the opportunity to help my local friend yesterday by praying for her and her family during a time of need. Lord, it was such a blessing when she told me that I had taught her to pray, and I was able to give You the glory and acknowledge it was You working through me. She use to feel unworthy of going to You in prayer. Thank You for the difference You are making in her life.I lift her family up to You again today for You to meet their needs and draw them ever closer to You and the plans You have for their lives.
Abba, I pray for Karen O’s family. You know all of their struggles on various levels. Please help them to not feel like they have made a mistake. They have just gained experience to help them to move forward either in correction mode or in persistence mode. Bless them with Your guidance and give them tangible evidences of Your love and care for them. I pray for peacefulness to be present in their household. Please let Forrest advance to a new stage of development and interest in quietly building or silently reading picture books. Help him to be interested in the sounds he can hear in the distance when he is quiet in the house. May he learn to appreciate the orderly sounds of classical music or other music that can make the household seem more peaceful. Jesus is the Prince of Peace so we ask for more experience of His presence in the home.
Thank You, Abba, for Your good blessings upon these households of need. You are ever good! In the name of Jesus, Amen
Are broken hands contagious? Husband took son in to the “city” for the hand surgeon to make his decisions (surgery is in December) and now husband is off to the doc for his own hand which is suddenly very swollen and painful, in the same place. Phantom break? (phantom pregnancy)
Thanks for the prayers last night. Lee was feeling fine when he woke up.

They think it might be a blood blot as they can not think of what else it might be. His entire hand is swollen, with no sign of injury.

Ooh, praying mumsee — clot not blot, I presume? That could be serious, glad he’s getting it checked.
