Becky’s husband, Brian, is going to defend his doctorial dissertation this afternoon at 2 p.m. EST.
I’ll mention Brian to the Lord. Brian is a good guy. Becky is the one who has the blog.
Thank you again, Kim, for your love and concern in checking in with me. Always nice to see that “Alabama Caller” on my ID. 😉
I haven’t been very forthcoming with where I live (not online, anyway), but I appreciate the camaraderie and fellowship we have in Christ here, and I feel more comfortable now being a bit more specific about my location with all of you. In the future, if you hear of major storms or other similar events happening in the Upper Midwest, your prayers at that time would mean a lot to me and our family. Like Kim said, though, the storms yesterday were farther east than we are, so we were not affected (much), though it was a good deal windier than usual.
Thank you, all. (And yes, I’ve broken my fast, but this was a good reason to do it.) 🙂
Well, turns out one of our sixteen year olds, S, broke his arm a couple of years ago. He never really complained about it, other than saying his wrist hurt a bit every six months or so. But did not ask the doc about it when he was there and never actually needed an appointment. But since they were there, husband brought it up, they xrayed, and it is broken so he needs to go in and get it splint tomorrow. I don’t know if that involves rebreaking or not. Our children tend to have a very high toleration for pain, but a little scratch will have them in tears. Meantime, he has played a lot of basketball, tennis, chopped a lot of wood, etc, without complaint. What is a parent to do? Prayers that the docs will be able to get it all resolved. Thanks.
Praying for the needs mentioned above; also, I went back over the prayer threads I’ve missed lately and prayed for those needs, too.
Things have been going better at home lately. My fast was healing on a lot of levels. Thank you for those of you who have been praying for us in my absence. I am grateful for that, and I see God working through your prayers.

A few of our “regulars” live in the Midwest. Have we had a check in from them?

No. I was hoping to hear from Joe B. and company too.
So if you folks out there are around, sound off so we know you’re OK.

Glad to hear you’re good, 6 arrows.
Out here in drought-ridden California (as noted by michelle) we’re just dusty and thirsty. 😉

Ah, but rain is in our forecast tomorrow and it’s looking like it out the window now. Thanks in advance from a non-deserving . . . .
