lovely psalm. Went to a meeting tonight where we began and ended with prayer, but this psalm makes me think that we needed to begin with some praise and a hymn or two.
6 arrows here as anonymous. Hubby and I have been having some good talks this week while he is off work. Talks about our vision for the family and other good things like that. I’d like to request prayer for my strengthening as I seek to help my husband carry out our goals for family life. My resolve and follow-through has been diminishing in recent years, but mom is a key link in the smooth flowing of household matters in every home, of course. I’m really getting tired as I age, but some of my children still have a lot of growing to do, and need a mom who can fulfill their needs.
I know God knew what He was doing, giving me children rather late in my childbearing years (as well as earlier), and I know that “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”. Some days I really falter in my faith, though, taking my eyes off what i can do in Christ and focusing instead on my perceived and/or real personal limitations.
I would appreciate prayers whenever you think of it, that I may be faithful in my duties, doing my best to serve with joy.
I just read in the local news that one of my neighbours was murdered yesterday by his father! I hope it’s not him, but the name, age and location of his home is all the same. He had/has a wife and 2 young boys. Please pray for this whole family and that Tim and I will be able to reach out to this family.
