Prayer Requests 10-16-13

Who has a request or praise to share?

And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Gambia.

Psalm 62

¹Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

  1. Please pray for my Sweet Husband. He is in considerable pain. According to the doctors the back fusion in February is considered a failure. He is being a dear and painting the new house even through the pain. Today he is “taking it easy” and painting the doors. I really appreciate all he is doing but am concerned about his pain.

  2. Will do, Kim.

That is good news, 6 arrows.

A man at our church named Tom just lost his wife of 56 years to cancer. Her funeral was inspiring, but Tom needs your prayers. Please also pray for church members to know how to minister to him.

  3. Heavenly Father,

As You have blessed us in so many ways, I ask that You would be blessed. May You be pleased by the praises and worship directed toward You this day. Thank You for the peace most of us know this day even as we go through routine struggles of living. I pray for the persecuted Christians and others who live under threat of violence. Help them at their critical points of need by overcoming the evil surrounding them.

Lord, I pray for our on website missionaries today in The Gambia and in PNG. Observe their diligence in being Christian servants helping those in need in far away lands. They are fulfilling the Great Commission with their efforts and sacrifice of creature comforts. Thank You for the extra special ways You have of showing Your hand of blessing upon them. I pray for good and peaceful relationships within the communities where they serve . Help them to get past any communication barriers that would prevent the passing on of Your message.

Lord, I lift up Kim’s good husband who is working through his back pain. Do not let disappointment over the failed relief from surgery become a part of his personality. Be With him in and through his pain. Show him Your ways to relieve the pain and find comfort. Thank You for his pleasing spirit and desire to be a good husband to Kim. May their happiness help to squelch the pain.

Thank You for resolution in 6 Arrows discussion. Thank You for the patience You give her as a homeschool mom/teacher. Sometimes it almost seems to require a split personality to be mom and teacher all in one body. You know all about her struggles and need for more energy. Please give her a boost today to see her through the rest of this month.

I pray in the name of my Savior, Jesus, Amen
