I don’t blame AJ, I looked over on Drudge hoping I could find something for us to argue abut.
But there isn’t much going on right now, except the threat of shut down.
Maybe that’s good.
Huckabee had the best proposal for obamacare on his show tonight — let it pass but only contingent on their being NO delays (for business or individuals) and NO exemptions (including none for lawmakers or their staffs).
Implement it all immediately as planned, starting Oct. 1.
Donna, scripture is pretty clear on this. There is no re-interpretation possible.
Some of our politicians would like to re-interpret lying and stealing, but the Bible is clear about that also.
Donna, That article is disturbing. Hopefully, the power and influence of the US will continue to decline so that we will not continue to pervert the entire world.
It is disturbing, ricky. I’ve seen Christians from other denominations (some liberal, some not necessarily so) post in favor of gay marriage on fb over the past couple years.
We’ve already seen how Christians in the younger generations are somewhat easily persuaded on this issue — the political correctness of this particular issue has just roared across the landscape, effectively marginalizing anyone who dares question it. A couple co-workers have flatly stated there simply is no “other” side on the issue that’s legitimate; it’s bigotry vs. non-bigotry, end of debate.
Chas, I agree with you — but we humans do love to twist doctrine to suit our desires. Won’t be the first (or last) time it’s done, and people are apparently devoting a lot of time and effort in building this particular case within the walls of the church.
Donna, I actually think this is by far the most serious threat to the US. Young people are being converted to homosexuality in large numbers. I hear reports from high schools and counselors in colleges. Children raised by homosexuals are likely to be turned into homosexuals. We had friends with teenage children who moved to the San Francisco area and sent their kids to public schools. The kids said it was like going to school in Sodom. The homosexual propaganda was overwhelming. For now, people in small Southern towns are relatively safe, but the plague is spreading. Wise parents with young children would look for ways to get their kids to a less perverted nation.
