Prayer Requests 9-25-13

Who can we pray for today?

And it’s Wednesday, so please remember to pray for The Gambia and the folks ministering there.

Psalm 41

¹ Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.

I said, “Lord, be merciful to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

My enemies speak evil of me: “When will he die, and his name perish?”

And if he comes to see me, he speaks lies; His heart gathers iniquity to itself; When he goes out, he tells it.

All who hate me whisper together against me; Against me they devise my hurt.

“An evil disease,” they say, “clings to him. And now that he lies down, he will rise up no more.”

Even my own familiar friend in whom I trusted, Who ate my bread, Has lifted up his heel against me.

10 But You, O Lord, be merciful to me, and raise me up, That I may repay them.

11 By this I know that You are well pleased with me, Because my enemy does not triumph over me.

12 As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And set me before Your face forever.

13 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen.

  1. Heavenly Father,

You have drawn Your children to Yourself so that we can bring glory to You. Thank You for the redemption You made possible through the shed blood of Jesus. No way on our own could we be worthy; it is only through the blessed power of the blood of Jesus that You have provided this supernatural and divine access to You. Thank You.

Abba, in the darkness of nighf I pray for a dry land where it is presently light, PNG. Please, may there be rain clouds send to that dry area that needs the moisture to gather and create drops of rain to fall and supply the earth again. The water inventory is depleted and needs refilling. Please give an abundant supply of moisture to refresh the land, people and animals. You control the atmosphere so we wisely look only to You in this asking for relief and basic supply. Please, Lo r d, don’t let the waiting grow long, stretching faith to new boundaries. I ask for this because our sister in Christ, Jo, has told of this need. I do pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus.

Also, Lod, I lift up the needs of our two missionary sisters in The Gambia. If they are in need of physical healing I pray for You to hastily meet that need. Please energize them with an infusion of Your joy and power. Make them to be able to meet the challenges of each day through Your strength and not feeling they are alone in their tasks.. Please let them feel Your abiding presence guiding and caring for them. In Jesus’name, Amen
