Prayer Requests 9-20-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 37:12-26

12 The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth.

13 The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those who are of upright conduct.

15 Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the Lord, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away.

21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.

22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

  1. Please pray for my workplace today. An associate is leaving and there seems to be much turmoil. If my co-worker leaves with the associate, that will cause more issues. I really don’t want her to leave as she is an awesome worker and fun to work with. She has lightened my load considerably this past year, enabling me to take a more administrative roll. If she leaves, I will be back doing my old job, plus the administration as well as finding a replacement for her. (I think she’s irreplaceable)

  2. The other day I wrote that Lee is having an endoscopy done on Saturday. I meant Friday, today.

Also, please say a little prayer for Chrissy, Forrest, & me. The endoscopy is being done in Hartford, this afternoon after Lee & Emily finish the bread route (hoping they don’t have to skip any stops). So this is going to be a very long day of babysitting, after two semi-long days.

    Thank you.

  3. There was a misunderstanding. Turns out today was only meeting with the doctor who will do the endoscopy. The actual procedure will be done this coming Wednesday. The doctor suspects an ulcer, aggravated by too many anti-inflammation pills.

Because of Lee only meeting with the doc, the day wasn’t quite as long for Chrissy & me as I thought it would be. Still, 9 & 1/2 hours babysitting a very active 2-almost-3 year old boy is very tiring. But he had a lot of fun while wearing Mimi (me) out. 🙂

  4. The day went better than expected, however, my co-worker is leaving the end of next week. I posted an ad for her replacement and received an email resume within 1/2 and hour and one of our therapists said one of her clients was looking for something like this. I will definitely miss this girl, but I’m glad she’s going somewhere where she’ll enjoy her work.
