Prayer Requests 9-14-13

Who would like to share a request or praise?

Psalm 33:1-12

¹ Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.

Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings.

Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.

For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.

He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

  1. Update on kids in Las Vegas: Their house was an island surrounded by water. The water came right up to the house, but not inside. They were able to save everything except for 1 chicken and a car. Praise the Lord!! There will be lots of cleanup once the water subsides. Thank you so much for the prayers!

  2. Today we are going back to the church we have been attending for the past fifteen years, to attempt reconciliation. Pray for us and our attitudes and receptive hearts. May God be glorified.

  3. My sister just received an email from her husband, Dr. Tim Berg, who is currently serving as a missionary in Rwanda. In it, he asks for prayer. He is currently accompanying a patient to Kigali, via Kibuye, by boat, at night. They are trying to save the life of a 35 year old, recently married, good man. Traveling at night is considered extremely dangerous. Please pray both for their safety as well as the health of the patient. Thanks.

  4. I have a little bit of uneasiness right now. My husband is going to someone’s house to retrieve something that rightfully belongs to hubby. The person didn’t deliver the item in question when he said he would (it’s been some weeks now), and he hasn’t responded to my husband’s phone messages.

  5. Good to hear, Mumsee.

Hubby’s driving back over to that guy’s house that I mentioned above. He is determined. The guy can’t stay away from his home forever. I don’t know how long hubby will wait tonight if he’s not there. I don’t really like the idea of him being there as darkness approaches.

  6. Good news, Ann.

Hubby’s back home. The guy was there this time, but was drunk. He said he mailed the thing a couple weeks ago. Hubby said, “I never told you my address.” He said a co-worker of hubby’s gave out our address. So now we have to figure out what the deal is there. Sigh.

    Thanks for your prayers.
