Prayer Requests 8-13-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 150

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

  1. We continue to live in limbo. Trying for all, I can assure you.

    Anyway, the discussion went well yesterday and I do believe we are at peace with one another. I don’t trust him, but that is not the same thing at all.

    Wisdom is flowing in on how we will deal with the remaining education of older children. Obviously, trust has been broken, whatever happened, so it makes sense they be encouraged to move along at eighteen. We have never pushed that issue, especially with these children, coming from such educationally stalled backgrounds, but, if they are not willing to comply with our rules, and they don’t trust us, they need to move along. Obviously, we don’t trust them anymore. Remember, this was anticipated as they all come from broken adoptions, some of which were through calling CPS on the adoptive family and making allegations. We knew that going in but we did offer trust.

  2. Sorry to hear that Mumsee. I’ll pray for you again.

    My wife’s father passed away Sunday night or Monday morning. Anyway we got a call at 6:45AM waking me from a (finally) sound sleep. Not sure what the memorial arrangements will be, since he never asked for anything and donated his body for research. The family will receive the ashes probably within a week or so….

  8. Continued prayers for the Nest…I am in awe at how our Lord is bringing you through this….step by step…continuing to pray for His protection over you all and for truth to shine brightly
    MIM….I am so sorry for your loss….asking our Lord to carry you through the coming days….it is so hard…. 😦

    Mumsee — continuing to pray for you and The Nest.

    I’m requesting prayers for safe travels for 2nd Arrow as she comes home tonight. Thank you. I could use some prayers for myself, too. I’ve not got much joy today, and have been isolating myself from the kids for the most part today so I don’t drag them down, too. I’m looking forward to 2nd Arrow coming home, of course, but I want it to be a joyous time for her and all of us, and not be infecting everyone with my down mood.

    Thank You for caring so much for us each as individuals and also as communities of people broken down into smaller households of families and singles. You are amazing how You reach out to each of us in our times of need. Help each of us and our family members to seek You out at the first sign of trouble or need. Please don’t let us neglect your help and comfort You so graciously give. .

    I pray a special comfort to be given and received by Make-it-Man’s family as they process the passing of his wife’s father. Comfort the grandchildren who may not have had many experiences with the passing of loved ones . May a fuller understanding of heaven be given to all family members. May they appreciate your provision allowing a future blessed reunion.

    I also call You for a generous blessing upon Mumsee and Mike. May their household be blessed with the felt presence of the Holy Spirit. I pray all evil forces at work in the lives of the children would be dispersed to never return just like we have read about in the Bible. Close the older children’s minds and hearts to being perpetrators of evil upon any of the family members. Clear the path for righteousness to be the prevailing force over any wickedness. Thank You for Your action to bring peace and stability to the home nest.

    Please, Lord, remember our sister in Christ, 6 Arrows, and help her to be encouraged and energized by a fresh breeze from the Holy Spirit. Raise her up out of the sinking feeling, the overwhelming burden and whatever physical difficulty that might be involved in lowering her mood from joy to gloom. Help her to get a good night’s rest and feel much better tomorrow. Please guide her daughter safely home from college. Thank You for bringing my son safely home today. You are good in keeping us mom’s from feeling undue anxiety as we trust in You and Your plans for our children.

    Thank You for this Smart Phone that allows me to bring these prayers to You in this form. May Your Spirit bring the needed comfort in the lives lifted up to You this evening. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
