Who can we pray for today?
Psalm 125
1 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4 Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
Please pray for a good first day of school tomorrow. That I would begin to bond with my class and begin a relationship with all the parents. A lot of the learning at this age is based on a good relationship with the teacher, so prayers for a good beginning. 14 kids, only 5 girls. I better keep going to the weight room!

As some of you may remember, I lost my job the 2nd of July. It is now the 23rd. I have got to get it together and figure out what to do next.

Kim – Keep in mind the words of my former pastor (he said this often, & I have seen it to be true)…”God provides until He provides.”
Jo – I think you’ve mentioned this before, but it escapes my memory… What is the age group you teach?

Heavenly Father,
Please bless our sister in Christ, Jo. Thank You for gifting her with teaching skills. Thank You for placing her where she can meet the needs of children to learn spiritually and academically. I pray that You will infuse her with a pleasing spirit through guidance of the Holy Spirit so she abounds in Fruit of the Holy Spirit tomorrow. May each new encounter with parents and students be rewarding to all present. Help Jo to feel well physically and fully up for any challenge. I pray she feels thoroughly prepared for the first month. Thank You for the many expected blessings and fun times of learning new things through the eyes of children. May You be glorified through Jo’s commitment to be poured out for her students success. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen
