Prayer Requests 7-10-13

Who has a request or praise to share today?

And it’s Wednesday, so please remember Gambia and it’s workers. 🙂

Psalm 119:54-60

54 Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

55 I have remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and have kept thy law.

56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

57 Thou art my portion, O Lord: I have said that I would keep thy words.

58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

  1. Hubby is gone for 2 months. He may get to come home once and we may be to visit him once. He did get us a lawn mower with an electric start before he left. Last year was a problem because the lawn mower we had is very hard to start and the Kid and I had trouble keeping the grass cut.

  3. Heavenly Father,

At this moment I hear sirens in the distance. You know what that is all about and more than likely it is a critical need. Please help whoever is in that need at this moment.

Needs have been brought forth here for prayer on this site. Thank You that I can be here among Christians who believe strongly in the power of prayer. You are amazing as You touch our lives with answers, sometimes as requested and sometimes differently, but always we can trust in Your absolute knowing of what is best. Thank You for using us for Your needs. Help us to always be avaiable and ready to be poured out for Your sake.

Please help kbells as she is on the uphill portion of her time without the benefit of having her husband at home. I pray the old adage will be true that absence makes the heart grow fonder. May it be a good time for them to use alternate forms of communication to carry forward their sharing of each others lives. Please help this to be a time when the son can feel the wonder of his mom’s abilities to get things done. May there overall be a good outcome from this forced absence from one another.

I pray for Mumsee and family. You know the needs with that many children can seem overwhelming even to the most patient of people. Please cover their household with a veil of overflowing love that will elevate the family out of any despair. Thank You for the summer when there is time to enjoy the outdoors and have more space. Keep all the children safe when they are in adventure mode. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. I am a little unnerved this afternoon after finding out a registered sex offender moved into our community last month. I feel a bit betrayed as the homeowners who I have considered to be friends, have rented their home to this person. The homeowners moved to Nevada…they are both retired LA cops/detectives……they said nothing about this guy and I feel they must have known his criminal history. The home is on 3 acres right next to the 35 acre community park/trail that our homeownership owns….where many children play and we walk and play with our dogs….needing the Lord to calm my anxiousness and calm this huge knot in the pit of my stomach…..

  5. Nancy Jill – Can you look into what the exact charge was? There are some men labeled sex offenders because they were caught peeing against a tree when they thought no one was looking, or because they had sex with their underage girlfriend. IOW, not all “registered sex offenders” are dangerous. Let’s hope this guy is one of those.

  6. Karen’s right, that category can include everything from the worst offenses to things that are really quite minor, things that we wouldn’t really “consider” to be sex offenses.
