Psalm 112
1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

You know what that means?
Not much for me. No Lions today. We had a nice awards banquet last night.
The prime rib was the main attraction.
But everyone dressed up and tried to be nice all night.

Prayers requested (again) for Becca. She has thrown-up from coughing three nights that we’ve been here. I’ve made an appointment for her with an asthma specialist for Monday.

A beautiful Psalm. I have learned a few choruses using the Psalms since I came here and I love singing them. This one needs to be set again to music. I know there are psalters, but they never preserve the beauty of the King James translation and most of the settings aren’t easily sung. Someday, I will compile a book of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs of only the highest quality words and music… Then someone will come along and say, “But you left out _” 😉

So sorry to hear about Becca…..praying she will find relief soon….
Asking for prayer for my dear friend Susan…they are still in a hotel…two and half weeks now..not finding a place to rent to them due to 3 cats and 2 dogs…plus she is conflicted about living in town…apprehensive about living in the forest again…Paul will be helping her husband clear the land of burnt trees tomorrow…she is resisting our help…the Lord knows what she needs right now and how to minister to those needs…thanks

Susan called and I will be going to the ruins of her home with her…we will then be looking at a farmhouse which we are all in prayer about as to whether this should be their new home….how I pray the Lord will give clear direction and discernment…prayers appreciated this afternoon….this is going to be hard…..

Requesting prayers for safe travel tomorrow as my husband and I and our four youngest travel to my brother’s. Also for safety as my hubby and brother are up on ladders taking tin off a shed. We’re leaving pretty early tomorrow morning, so I thought I’d make that request now. Thanks.
