Who can we pray for today?
Psalm 107:19-22
19 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
My oldest GD, Becky, is Children’s Minister at Friendly Ave. BC in Greensboro.
They start VBS today.

My daughter, Becca, was recently diagnosed with asthma. We are having some difficulty getting it completely under control, even with a corticosteroid inhaler and a “rescue” inhaler (albuterol). Last night, she had a coughing fit around 3:00 am and vomited (this has become a common occurrence over the last 6 weeks). She’s already been on 3 rounds of antibiotics (they first thought the coughing was caused by a sinus infection, then they said it was due to bronchitis, and finally they decided it is asthma) and is just so tired of coughing. Her little tummy hurts b/c the muscles are sore from all the durn coughing! The doctor said it could take up to two weeks for the steroid to fully work and it’s now been about 10 days. Please pray for her health! Thanks.

Ann – There were a few times when my younger daughter, Chrissy, was young, when she would have a cough that went on for weeks. What helped, at least a couple times, was giving her Benedryl – treating the cough like an allergy. Just thought I’d pass this idea on to you.
And yes, I’ll pray too. 🙂

Thanks, Karen. We’ve had her on Claritin (which didn’t help at all) and then Zyrtec for weeks. Benadryl makes her too wired. But, thanks for the idea. And, especially, thanks for the prayers!
