Prayer Requests 6-22-13

Who has a request or praise to share today?

Psalm 107:1-8

1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

  1. Prayers requested for safe travel today and for a good trip.

    Praise report: Becca has decided to be baptized! She gave her heart to Jesus at VBS two weeks ago. I couldn’t be happier! The next baptism at our church is on October 5. I’m already planning a family get-together to celebrate this momentous occasion!

  2. I have another praise: ever since we purchased our acreage, my husband and I have prayed that this place would be used for His glory, for helping our neighbours, and as an outreach to our neighbours. So far, we’ve been able to have our church small group Bible study here (which also included a few neighbourhood Christians). Yesterday while I was at work, God answered that prayer or rather FLUNG open a door through which I can walk and do exactly what we’ve been praying for. Here’s the story:

    The bison rancher down the road came to my clinic for treatment while his wife went and ran some errands. She came back about 15 minutes before he was finished so we chatted for a few minutes and then she basically said that she knew I went to church and was a spiritual person and we had been attending Bible studies. She said she was struggling to live her faith and needed someone to come along side her and help her grow. Oh, and it might be nice to attend a couples Bible study with her husband. I said I would love to get together with her and do that! Her husband’s family are all Catholic and most attend church every Sunday, but she’s not Catholic.

    Needless to say, I am very excited about this opportunity and I know God will have to lead and guide me because I also feel totally inadequate. Please pray for courage and wisdom as well as good communication skills as I don’t always explain things clearly.
