Prayer Requests 6-21-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 106:1-5

1 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;

That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

  1. Once again asking for prayer for my friend Jenn, the lovely lady with the very severe stomach problems. She is facing another surgery (her 13th or 14th) to remove a mass that has continued to grow & is pressing on her other organs. There will be 3 surgeons involved in this surgery, & they will be taking her other organs out of her body to get to the mass.

    In the meantime, she says she now can’t walk without feeling that her stomach is “breaking”.

    Also, please pray for salvation for her husband, Rich, & their two grown kids, Kaitlyn & Chris. (Rich is scared to death of losing her.)

  2. Requesting prayer for my friend Kelly who is in labor right now. Please also pray for her parents, as they’ve been experiencing some anxiety over this birth because Kelly had complications after her previous birth two years ago, losing a lot of blood and having her BP drop to 60/30. She felt like she was fading away for a while, and her parents, who were at the birth, were pretty shaken hearing Kelly weakly pleading with God not to take her as she appeared to be slipping away.

  3. A young women, named Kathi, needs prayer for her husband who has some mental health issues. They have three young children. He is fighting the meds he needs, because of the bad side-effects. He needs to get back on his meds and get them tailored more to his body. She needs prayers for courage, wisdom, strength, patience and the right people to come along side her. Her family does not live anywhere near her.

  4. Thank you for your prayers for Kelly. She had a 10 lb. 3 oz. baby boy three minutes after getting to the hospital and onto the labor bed! The Lord’s provision and protection was — there are just no words for how awesome it was. The cord was very tightly around the baby’s neck, and the doctor couldn’t pull it off. He had to clamp and cut the cord before full delivery. If baby had been born in the car, there would have been no way Kelly’s husband could have gotten the cord clamped and cut. They live an hour from the hospital, and Kelly’s water broke 10 minutes after they’d left home, and her labor went from contractions 6 minutes apart to faster and faster during the trip there. Pretty scary for a while, but God’s timing was perfect, as we know it always is, in getting them safely to the hospital before their baby emerged.

    Kelly and her son are doing well, and there are nine very excited siblings who have a new baby brother! 🙂
