Who has a request or praise today?
Today is the funeral of our friend Cheryl’s brother-in-law. His wife, as well as Cheryl and the family, are grieving and feeling the loss. Please keep them in prayer today and in the coming days. Thanks.
Psalm 89:13-18
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Wandering Views 
Heavenly Father,
We arise and greet the new day You have made. It is full of Your glory and all of nature reminds us of You, our great Creator. You give us more beauty on earth than we can possibly take into our eyes, ears and hearts and even greater than that You give us the promise of heaven which is even greater still. Thank You, thank You!
Today, Abba, I lift up to You the grieving family members who have lost a dear daddy, an earthly daddy who is still needed by his family. The loss is so great and so unexpected. So much unfinished in his life. I pray for his wife that she may be comforted by You each and every day of her unrelenting suffering. I pray for the children who so badly will miss the love of their daddy. I pray for the other family members who are trying to do what they can to help, all the while knowing, this is an impossibility to do on their own so they need You to show them and guide them into the best words and actions to be a true help in trouble times. Please help any who are feeling the load of guilt over what they might have done to help make things better or that they did not say the right words or even if they needed to make peace with the man who died and they feel it is too late now. You know each person who is feeling the sting of death right now. You have, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, overcome the eternal sting of death, yet earthly pangs are still consuming for a moment in Your eternity. May Your sweet promises of reunion in heaven be a continuing comfort to all the hurting. Thank You for the many ways You will be providing and comforting through the work of the Holy Spirit and through the minds, hearts, hands and feet of those who act on behalf of Jesus on earth.
Thank You Lord, for hearing the many prayers for this family today. May they and all others who are grieving the death of loved ones today know Your presence in the most needed ways. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

An old friend of mine became a grandmother yesterday. This morning she asked for prayers for her twin grandson’s. Their lungs were not fully developed and they have been take to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Heavenly Father,
So many things happen in a day. Some are good and some are not so good and some are a combination of both. I lift up those twin grandsons for Your healing. What a joy to have twins and yet when there are health issues it becomes a double burden. Please help the new parents and grandparents to not feel overwhelmed at this time that is suppose to be so joyous. I pray You will bring Christians onto the scene to help this enlarging family, to engage them with comforting and helpful information. Bless all the doctors and medical staff with knowledge of what needs to be done and when for the best results. I pray that the family will get to hold the babies close at least for some of the time so they can feel that bonding that all hope will occur in the first days after birth. I pray for unity and cohesiveness within the family so that they are supportive of each other’s needs, especially as the new mom is recouperating from carrying and giving birth to twins. You are wonderful, Abba, in how You create life and sustain it. You know what to do to fix things that are not working properly in the body. Please be about Your repair work on these little boy’s lungs. Help them to moment by moment get all the oxygen their bodies need. We look to You for a quick work of healing so these babies can thrive. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

Heavenly Father,
I also lift up Pastor Roy as he is distressed with back problems. Please help him with mobility so it does not hurt or feel like something is out of place when he moves giving fear that he might give further damage to the aching part. I ask that You help him as he tries to keep things going for the church under difficult circumstances. You have Your plans for him and the church so I ask for Your blessed will to be done. Pastor Roy is a believer and looks to You in prayer, humbling himself before You, asking that You would give Your best for his needs, for his family’s needs and for the congregation’s needs. I trust in Your wisdom to heal and give abundant life to Pastor Roy and all who are in his church community. Please bless his son helping him to always draw close to You, Abba. May the cares of this family be given over to You so they do not feel burdened today. Please give them peaceful and pain free rest this evening. Thank You for Your comfort and easing of pain. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

The mother of someone I was in Sunday School class with (before being asked to help with children’s Sunday School) has passed away. Thi woman who died was a founding member of our church. Please pray for this family. The daughter (my friend) is a widow with an only child and some grandchildren. It will be hard for them all. At one time this woman who died ran a Tea Room in the Atlanta area.
