Prayer Requests 4-12-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.

2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

  1. Father, in this quiet hour of the morning we come before your throne….your eye is not blinded from seeing the trials your children face. How we thank you for watching over us, even in our most desperate hours….
Lord, we are reminded in your Word…”Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him”…Help us to remain steadfast…give to us your strength for the day…and we will return to you tomorrow and ask of it once again…please watch over Kim today…she is hurting…watch over Chloe…she is confused…heal their relationship…all the while…give Kim the strength to do the hard stuff in her daughter’s life…give Chloe the eyes to see that her mother’s actions are out of her deep deep love for her…we trust you with all of these things, in Jesus Name…

  3. Kim: Praying for you and BG.

Prayers requested for safe travels and that my ears would be able to equalize on the flight today. Many years ago, an eardrum burst on a flight. It was a painful experience I’m hoping not to repeat. I’ll take a decongestant an hour before take-off as well as use a nasal spray, but I’m still a little nervous about it. Thanks to everyone who prayed for my health!

  4. Praying for you Ann…I have experienced a ruptured eardrum on three different flights…I,too, must take decongestants and nasal sprays before take off…I know how it feels…and the anxious moments we feel in anticipation the pain forthcoming…I am flying out next Wednesday…I’m feeling a bit anxious about it all too! May our Lord watch over you and shelter you from ear troubles on your flight…

  5. Amen in agreement with Nancy Jill’s prayer for Kim.

Thanks to those who prayed for traveling mercies for my son going to his conference. Despite the threats of tornadoes and horrible weather he arrived. His presentation is today. I thought it was to be on Sat. He is suppose to read a paper he wrote about C. S. Lewis’s Space Trilogy. Please pray along with me that it will go well for him.

  6. Continued prayer as things have reached crisis level. The woman who left the subtly threatening message on the phone has now run off with the meth dealer/addict. He has killed before so I am not optimistic for her survival. They stole everything from her husband. They may be heading toward the woman in the safe house. Please pray.
