Prayer Requests 4-4-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 106:1-3

1 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?

3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

  1. I have a friend in Virginia that has everyone inbox her their prayer requests while she goes to physical therapy she prays for everyone. I told her yesterday that I would have all of you pray for her shoulder. Her name is Christy.

  2. Clarity of mind for me today , please. I need to make some decisions.

Our friend H is frantically packing–she goes to Italy, leaving here at 2 Saturday morning. Did I mention she’s a bridesmaid Friday night and also embroiled in wedding events while fighting back farewell emotions at every step?

If you have to choose, pray for her first! 🙂

  3. Please pray for my friends/neighbors in MI – R & P – Ongoing for R and his cancer treatments.
I got word yesterday that P spent the night on Tuesday in the hospital with numbness in her R arm. After a battery of tests they found that she has degenerative arthritis in her neck and upper spine, but also bilateral nodules on her thyroid. Since she has a history of cancer (she is a kidney cancer survivor – only one left) they are planning a biopsy.
Pray that R&P will continue to be open to the gospel message and to put people in their way who can plant those seeds. Also that I might from a distance be able to plant some seeds of the Gospel with them.

Another of the neighbors, B with congestive heart failure has developed bacterial pneumonia. For someone B’s age and with his current health issues, pneumonia can be deadly.

My son, who currently works in a call center for a spine and pain management clinic, is happy to have a job, but he hates it and it does not pay him a living wage. Now he is worried about losing it (before he can find something else) because he fielded a call from Mumbai returning the practice Administrator’s call. To him, this looks like they are considering outsourcing. Please pray that the other opportunity pans out for him in VA beach. That position should close to applications by the end of next week. His application has already been looked at because he submitted it through a friend who works there. One of the things keeping us in the DC area is my son’s job situation. We don’t feel that we can leave here (and move to MI) until he is able to find something that pays enough that he can move out.

  4. Lots of people with bad coughs around here. Hubby is also sick again after just finishing his antibiotics for sinus infection. He came home sick from work very early last night, with green gunk coming out of his eye, and a different cough than the one he had previously (before and during taking the meds).

  5. Please keep me in prayer this afternoon as I am to give a deposition in a wrongful death suit. I ask for prayers to be clear minded and to use the right wording when answering questions. Thank you.

  6. Thanks for your prayers. Here’s what I just posted on FB about H:

Our dear friend H has been with us the last two months getting set to leave on a missions trip to Sicily—maybe forever. She’s been packing like mad the last two days because she’s a bridesmaid in a wedding tomorrow–and flies hours afterwards.

She hauled the suitcases (50 and 65 pounds!) to the car, stowed the boxes she’s leaving behind and then I asked, “Is this it? You aren’t coming back are you?”

Her eyes grew big and started to fill with tears; these farewells have been hard on her. She hugged me.

“This is an adventure.” I kissed her on the cheek. “Ciao, bella, you’re off to Sicily. I’ll come see you. Get out of here!”

She laughed, got a grip, put the last things in the car and drove off with a wave.

And then I sat down to cry.

  7. Deposition went well, but did not finish in the allotted time. They ran out of time before they ran out of questions..All 3 of the lawyers reserved the right to recall me and continue with discovery. But it is a load off of my mind and I am glad it is sort of over with. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Katie goes for a checkup on her finger tomorrow, so should have an update on that late.

I am praying for the needs mentioned in the above posts too.
