  1. If that Elvera keeps feeding me eggs and bacon for breakfast, the sweetest husband in the world is going to turn into a butterball.
And go waddling down the street.

  3. It is my husband who usually makes the bacon and eggs here. The other day, it was sourdough pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, too. 🙂
He likes a big breakfast far more than I do. We often just have toast or oatmeal, though.

😦 This is the anniversary of the death of our friend who was in his early forties, when he was felled by a blood clot in the brain. His widow and children are still grieving so deeply, but have made the best of things. She praises God with a church music group and is very busy. Grief can be so difficult. So glad she and the rest of his family knows the Lord.

😦 Those who talk so unkindly to others whom they disagree with. Those who pass on sayings against judging others and claim not to do it, seem the worst. Jesus did tell us in Matthew, among other places, that we would be falsely accused. After all, he was.

  4. 🙂 Saturday.

😦 Ooh, I’m out of bacon. But I do have eggs.

🙂 Carried out a grocery shopping strike on my lunch hour yesterday (which was also pay day). I bought a little more than planned, but it feels good to be restocked. Still need to get some fresh veggies & yogurts for lunch, but I figured I’d wait to do that closer to Monday. As a single-person household, I have a hard time munching through things that have a short shelf life.

😦 Temperatures are heating up out here in the west.

🙂 But by mid week we’re cooling (way) down again with more rain forecast.

🙂 Looking forward to hearing a guest preacher at church tomorrow, one of mmacmurray’s college Bible professors.

  5. Donna, you have some others in your household who might be willing to help you eat some of the items with a short shelf life. 🙂 Yesterday at noon I ate the last half of my Valentine’s lunch, which included steak. My husband thought Misten might want a bite. Well, I don’t feed her at the table, but I put aside a bite and as I got up to clear my plate, she stood happily waiting, hoping to get a bite. When I went all the way to the trash can without giving her anything, she left the room. “Oh well, I guess she didn’t have anything for me.” She was so delighted when I called her back in and gave her the bite I’d saved for her.

🙂 Some good quality time with my husband this week.
🙂 A nice breakfast meeting and theology discussion with other believers this morning.
    🙂 A surprise package from a friend.
🙂 It’s snowing just enough to be pretty.
🙂 I got finished with some tedious tasks.

  6. 😦 Finding out I need surgery to remove some growth on carpel tendons. I’ve had pain and swelling in my hand for months and after treating with medications, the doctor decided surgery. Mar 6.

🙂 D2 coming over for the weekend. Since she works at a bank she has Monday off.

🙂 Just went to the library sale and found three classical music LPs still in the shrink wrap, unopened! Mrs L and D3 say I should sell them on e-bay instead of opening them and recording them onto my new mp3 player (I recently got a USB turntable). But I got them to record, not sell. Maybe after recording them…

🙂 Found several other classical LP sets. Got all for $1 each. I love library sales!

  8. 🙂 Finally getting to have a long-overdue “date” with my hubby!

Emily’s working tonight, Forrest is with his daddy, & Chrissy’s gonna hang out in her room. Lee & I are gonna eat hamburgers & chill out on the couch watching something I recorded for us a while back.

We might even hold hands & cuddle!

    ♥ Love my hubby! ♥

  9. 🙂 Went to the zoo today with the family and out to lunch at my favorite pizza place, Star Pizza.

🙂 Enjoyed Valentine’s Day. Hubby gave me some roses and a sweet card and I got wonderful, homemade cards from both my girls, too. Plus, I was able to attend Becca’s school party, which was a lot of fun.

  10. The man came on ABC news at 6:00 this morning and said, “New England may get up to a foot of snow from the same system that brought light snow to the Carolinas”.
Then he brings on a meteriologists who says, “This is the same system that brought light snow to the Carolinas”.
    😆
This isn’t the same person who said that Marco Rubio took a drink of water. That was someone else.

🙂 Took Mrs. J to get her haircut. It looks very nice.

😦 Me being the genius I am, I decided on doing it Sunday. It took soooo long. The wait, not the haircutting part.

🙂 But again, she looks really good.

  12. My boys love to give each other haircuts and they do an excellent job of it. I am not sure I, at that age, could have trusted my peers with cutting my hair.

  13. 😦 I cut my bangs too short. I probably should have kept waiting at the salon yesterday, but it seemed unlikely they were going to ever get to me.

  15. After taking Cowboy to the dog park, I walked both dogs tonight and spent much of the time pondering Jesus’ words about being anxious for nothing, how each day has trouble enough of its own.

After waking up this morning to a very unsettling dream, I realized that I’m far to anxious about work & the “future” (and what may never happen) these days.
