Who, or what, can we pray for today?
Psalm 63:1-8
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
Pray for strength for Aji suun. She had to go for a week of meetings. They go all day which hard on her already low energy levels.
Pray also as the clinic opens up again that everything will go well.

9 month old Aubrey, a distant cousin, is undergoing surgery this morning, Hirschsprunget’s disease–no nerves in a section of the intestines. Mom, Jill, is very upset, I told her I’d find friends to pray. Thank you.

Heavenly Father,
You made the very fibers (cells and such) that hold us together. You wove a lovely pattern in the beginning. Thank You for giving the human body such a magnicient design to glorify Yourself. Today, Lord, we all know of those who are in various states of suffering because when sin entered into the beautiful world You created it brought upon the human race disease, illness, fatigue, and depressions. Lord, I pray this morning for all those who are suffering with bodily ailments.
Please strengthen Ajisuun as she gets tired easily and finds herself in long meetings which are stressful on her body and mind. Please help her to stay alert to learn all she needs to learn. Help her to not get stiff from long hours of sitting. Help her to be an encouragement to all she encounters because she is a representative of Your Son, Jesus.
I pray also for baby Aubrey. What a sweet name, Lord. You know her because You made her. Please give her surgeon(s) and extra dose of wisdom and alertness as they perform this intricate “miracle” of correction to the malformation of her intestines. Please allow everything to go perfectly so that she will be able to have a life like You designed people to have. Please give her parents greater faith to see them through this ordeal, and help them to not be frantic. May they know Your comfort and be able to give that comfort over to their daughter.
Lord, I ask that You would show me what I need to do to get my leg in better working order. It is not as painful now but still has problems. Thank You that the pain has cleared for the most part.
Lord, I lift up Auntie Annie for Your blessing as she transitions from here to eternity with You. Give her an easy time of passing. Ease the hearts of those seeing her along her way.
Please help repair the lungs of our family friend “JK” who my brother spent the night in the hospital with last night. He and his wife have been through so much this past year with their health issues. Bless them both with better health for this new year.
I pray for Kbells friend David who has suffered a plenty with chemo. Please help him to better tolerate it.
And I remember those young girls who are suffering some from various self-conscious body image type difficulties. Please help them to overcome the ills brought on by faulty image portrayls in media and realize it is You who made them as beautiful and acceptable as they are.
Lord, there are so many who need prayer. Please bless those I have failed to mention. There is never enough time to lift up all those who need the lifting. I count on Jesus to continue on in prayer for all our needs as earthly responsibility takes us away from constant prayer. He is the greatest Intercessor. In His name I pray.
Amen

The neighbor’s husband, a jailer, was just taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The neighbor asked Mike to drive her over there. It is about forty five minutes through blizzard and snowdrift conditions. Prayer for safety for ambulance crew and husband and neighbor. More importantly, may God use this to bring the neighbor’s husband to a living relationship with Him.

Amen.
And another request: our pastor’s mother is dying and he flew to Illinois to be there. The request is that the words of wisdom he has used so often with families sitting at besides, would reverberate in his heart as well. He needs comfort, too, but is being placed in a pastoral role. Fortunately, God sent his his 19 year old with him and God is at work in her life through being her dad’s backup. Hard, all the same.
Thanks.

Auntie Annie went home to her Lord and Saviour this morning. Please continue to pray for my folks and my sister as they make arrangements and carry out the duties of those left behind. Please pray for travelling safety as we make our way to Calgary in a few days.

Husband called, they made it as did the ambulance. The man is doing well, they have not figured out his problem yet. They hope to get back in a few hours.

Aubrey’s mother just posted a photo on FB, but I don’t know if it’s today or not. It surprised me because the baby looked terrific. Pastor’s mother has rallied some, but he’s spending the day making funeral arrangements and investigating long term care, depending on how things go. 😦

Just heard back from the mom–the biopsy has been changed to Wednesday. If it confirms the disease, a pretty extensive surgery is the next step. Thanks for your prayers.
