What, or whom, should we pray for today?
Psalm 146:6-10
6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever.
7 He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free,
8 the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
9 The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10 The Lord reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the Lord.
We are seeking a more permanent location for our church plant fellowship to meet for Sunday services (twice a month) here in the Czech Republic. We are currently in negotiation with one place that would be favorable for our current situation. Thanks.

A praise:
2nd Arrow just texted me that midterm grades are in, and she qualified for the Vet Tech program. She is going to school full time, working nearly 40 hours per week, having recently been promoted to head cashier and front-end manager at the retail store at which she works, and studying after she gets home from work (after 10:00 pm on the nights she works). Needless to say, we are very proud of her good work ethic. She’s an amazing young lady whom we are very blessed to have as a daughter.

KBells, I was reading a column in the paper today where someone said that eating ice cream temporarily relieved the migraine. “Freezes the brain”, she said.
Did you get the things done?

Due to a change in circumstances, Lee will not be running his friend’s route after Thanksgiving. Please pray that something comes along soon. He has been considering buying a certain route, so please pray that he will know God’s direction on that clearly.
Thank you.

Please pray for my SIL, Bruce, who had a liver biopsy yesterday. His hepatitis C has been controlled for years, but he recently had a slightly higher reading on a blood test, so the doctor chose to have the biopsy done as a precaution. We should receive the results in a week or so.

6 Arrows, I have not listened to this broadcast on marriage but thought you might be interested in it so here is the link that came to my e-mail:

Heavenly Father,
It has been a long day with lots of good from Your hand and just a little that I might be tempted to complain about except that I choose to think on the best that You give. The weather was perfect and the leaves glowed in their autumn peak colors. I have been blessed by friendship and conversation with my family. And I have spent time on a virtual prayer call with some faithful women this evening. You are on Your throne and available to Your children. We praise You, Lord!
I lift up to You the need Tychicus mentioned. Please direct their search for the best site for the Czech church plant. May it be accessible and reasonably priced. May it be redeemed from any rundown condition or anything that would make it seem to be at first unusable. I pray for the resources to bring it to a level worthy of worship of You. Please provide quickly. May all the members and potential community groups of people who are seekers come together to make any needed repairs and restoration. Thank You, Lord, for this site that You will be worshipped in. If it takes time to locate this special place, we know it is because You are working out the details for the very best spot for “holy ground.”
I pray for Your healing touch to be upon David. Please prepare him and his family for whatever the results will show. If further treatment is necessary, I pray it will be uncomplicated and result in much improved health. Please let him recouperate fully and be in good spirits as he waits upon You to make known the way You will take care of his needs. Please give his family peace as they support him during this time.
Thank You, Lord, that 6 Arrow’s daughter’s diligence has paid off. You are so good to let rewards come to those who do put in the extra effort and try to live in the way that honors You and their families.
I realize it was some hours ago that Kbells was dealing with her headache. I pray it has passed by now and that the headaches will not come back Show her the triggers so she can minimize what brings on her headaches. I pray You will enable her to attack her To Do list with high energy tomorrow. Thank You for helping her to be a good mom even when she is feeling badly. And bless her son with good friends who will make right choices along their paths in life.
I pray You will give Lee discernment about his business opportunity. Give him strategies to analyze the positives and negatives of deciding to buy or not to buy the route. Bring all things to mind that are considerations. Show him how to be wise in msking his choice. And please give him peace over this decision making process.
Kay’s SIL Bruce has needs at this time related to his Hepititis C. Lord, it has been a blessing that he has not so far suffered from it so much as some do. But now Lord something appears to be going on in his body that may indicate he is having a flare-up of some kind. I pray You will bring everything under control and let his testing show his numbers are within an acceptable range. If any treatment is necessary I pray You will help him to be compliant and do just as the doctor prescribes.
Lord, I pray for all those in the NE who are still suffering so much from the effects of storm Sandy. They are without. They are in pain and feeling neglected by You, and by people in some cases. Please reach those who are proud and have never had to be helped before. Help them to recognize the beauty found in allowing people to help in their time of need so they can learn how to be helpers of others in the future. Please let all the children whose parents are sad to be well behaved and not whiny and adding to their parent’s misery. Please feed the hungry and sustain those who are getting the food on the plates and in the bowls or bags. Thank You for making hearts desire to give monitarily when they can not physically be there to help. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen

Janice, thank you for the link at 8:39. The message was in 3 parts, and I listened to all three segments and thought they were very good. I’ve bookmarked the site and plan to listen to them again with my husband when he is home.
The couple interviewed, Tim and Kathy Keller, have written a book on which much of what they said in the interview was based, entitled The Meaning of Marriage: Facing the Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of God. I see our local library system carries the book, and I have reserved a copy. I read another book by Tim Keller a long time ago, A Shepherd Looks at the 23rd Psalm, I believe it is called, and that was excellent, so I’m thinking this marriage book will be as well.
Thank you very much for passing along this information.

I think the shepherd book author was Phillip Keller, someone else.
Our church also went through a 4-week seminar on marriage (which is on audio) for anyone interested:

Prayers for my dog Cowboy who had some sort of fairly major dental mishap very recently — looks like a broken tooth & some damage to a couple others as well, he couldn’t eat his dry food tonight. 😦 6 Arrows, send your new vet tech my way? 🙂
I’m taking him to the vet’s office first thing in the morning before work to see what the heck happened. I’m thinking he must be in some pain, poor guy.
