Here you go. You know what to do.
We’ll do this post every Saturday.

What’s news today?
If you live on the East Coast like me, this is the obvious choice.
From ACCUWeather
“An extremely rare and dangerous storm will turn in from the Atlantic, putting 60 million people in its path and could lead to billions of dollars in damage.
The worst of the storm will be Monday through Tuesday, but the storm’s aftermath may linger days later. Conditions will deteriorate from the mid-Atlantic to southern New England Sunday and Sunday night.”
😯
Awww Man! This will be bad.
I’m a little worried ‘cuz we’re in the heavy rainfall area, and the models seem to suggest it makes landfall 50 miles south. If it comes up the Delaware like Diane in “55, we could have major problems. A State of Emergency has already been called in PA. and NJ, as well as most of the coast.
Here’s the projection that’s bothering me. From the NHC
It looks alot like this from Diane in “55 although that one went to land in NC and rode the coast into the Delaware Basin.
If I’m not here Monday first thing, I may be without power. It might take awhile to find a McDonalds or Pannera with power and WiFi. Hopefully I have nothing to worry about.
In other News….. The President refuses to answer an easy question. From ABC
“In an interview with a Denver TV reporter Friday, President Obama twice refused to answer questions as to whether the Americans under siege in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, were denied requests for help, saying he’s waiting for the results of investigations before making any conclusions about what went wrong.
After being asked about possible denials of requests for aid, and whether it’s fair to tell Americans that what happened is under investigation and won’t be released until after the election, the president said, “the election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened. These are folks who served under me who I had sent to some very dangerous places. Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do.””
“Clark pressed again.”
And again he failed to answer.
Others were not so shy. Obama goes under the bus, with Patraeus doing the pushing. From TheWeeklyStandard
“Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ””
Here’s the Petraeus Tweet from Jake Tapper that started it.
Somebody’s lyin’. If it wasn’t the CIA, that leaves 3 choices. The Panetta Pentagon, the Clinton State Dept., or the Obama White House.
What should we pray about today?
Psalm 119:89-91
89 Your word, Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures.
91 Your laws endure to this day,
for all things serve you.
Good Morning!
Happy Saturday!
Quote of the Day
“Who cares about the clouds when we’re together? Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.”
Dale Evans
New numbers came out yesterday.
From ZeroHedge
“When we reported on the surge in last week’s initial claims from 342K to 388K, we made one simple forecast: “Remember: this number will be revised to 391K next
week.” We were off: it was revised to 392K. In other words, the data charlatainism at the DOL continues unabated. And of course, today’s Initial Claims number which magically “beat” expectations by 1K, printing at 369K, on expectations of 370K, will be revised to a miss of 372K next week. The BLS has become a total farce. In other manipulated news, the BLS reported the culprit for last week’s surge in Claims: it was California, which saw a +26,935 jump in initial claims, due to “Layoffs across all sectors, with the largest share from the service industry.” This somehow is supposed to offset the -4,979 claims drop from the week before, when all those plunges and jumps in claims took place. Elsewhere, the number of Americans on extended claims and EUCs dropped to 2.1 million, down 1.4 million from a year earlier.”
And those folks didn’t find jobs, they were simply dropped off, no longer counted. Check out the 1st chart, which shows the drop in unemployment by the reported numbers, which is blue. But when you look at the red line which is after they revise it up to reality, you see that it’s mostly a flat level, meaning initial claims continue at much the same level. The officially released line is worthless upon revision. Propaganda.
InvestorsBusinessDaily chimes in with this. Yes, it’s as bad as it looks.
“”In many ways, because of the actions we took early on, we’re actually ahead of pace in the typical recovery out of a recession like this,” Obama said.
It’s a point Obama and his supporters have made on occasion throughout the campaign. Earlier this year, Obama told attendees at a fundraiser about the “extraordinary progress” the economy was making.”
“But the data are clear that Obama’s economic recovery — which started in June 2009, five months after he was sworn in — has been worse than any recovery since the Great Depression.”
RealClearMarkets asks the obvious question. This is what happens when you listen to Keynesian hacks.
“Did Economists Doom Obama’s Presidency?”
“If President Obama loses the election in November, economists may well end up taking a share of the blame – for good reason. Their models misled him into applying ambitious stimulus therapies to jump start the economy and boost employment that haven’t worked, vastly undermining his re-election prospects.
Back in January 2009, a now infamous study coauthored by Christina Romer, the future chair of the President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors, and Jared Bernstein, the future chief economist for the Vice President, predicted that an $800 billion economic stimulus targeted toward boosting consumer demand would stave off a severe recession and hold unemployment below 8 percent by the end of 2009.
What was so compelling about their study was the illusion of precision. The Obama administration used their statistical analysis to aggressively promote specific policy proposals, including the package of tax cuts and discretionary federal spending embodied in the so-called stimulus package, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. But little of what they predicted has panned out.”
And this should be a message to the Obama campaign, from TheWashingtonExaminer
“Bad news will greet Vice President Joe Biden when he arrives in Wisconsin Thursday night. Hours earlier, Oshkosh’s largest employer announced that it will lay off 450 employees in January.”
“”As Oshkosh and others in the defense industry have discussed on numerous occasions, domestic military vehicle production volumes will decline significantly in 2013 due to the reduction in U.S. defense budgets and the fact that military spending is returning to peacetime levels,” the company said in a statement. “Unfortunately, these economic factors require Oshkosh to rebalance its defense production workforce starting in January 2013.”
The company said the layoffs were not tied to the looming budget cuts set to take effect in January.”
We need a new path, this one is not working.
What’s news today?
This is. But now we have conflicting verdicts from different judges in different states. So I guess the next stop is the Supreme’s.
From Reuters
“A federal appeals court declined on Thursday to reconsider a ruling that would allow Texas to withhold funding for women’s healthcare from Planned Parenthood’s clinics because the organization also performs abortions.
Texas Governor Rick Perry said after the order by the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans that the state would immediately stop paying program participants that are affiliates of abortion providers.
“Today’s ruling affirms yet again that in Texas the Women’s Health Program has no obligation to fund Planned Parenthood and other organizations that perform or promote abortion,” the Republican governor said in a statement. “In Texas we choose life, and we will immediately begin defunding all abortion affiliates to honor and uphold that choice.”
And here are some updates from yesterday.
“Patrick Moran resigned from his father’s reelection campaign after Project Veritas released video showing him coaching someone on how to commit voter fraud, and now the police are investigating the case.
“The Arlington County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office and the Arlington County Police Department have been made aware of a video released yesterday allegedly depicting Patrick Moran, former Director of Field Operations for the Jim Moran for Congress campaign organization, assisting another to vote illegally,” the city announced today.
“The Arlington County Police Department has initiated a criminal investigation of this matter.””
Here’s another update from yesterday via TheHill
“Texas authorities have threatened to arrest international election observers, prompting a furious response from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarčič, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said in a statement. “The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.””
“State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland sought to tone down the controversy during her briefing Thursday. The department is eager to avoid giving the impression that the United States is unwilling to submit to the same scrutiny it demands of others when it comes to human and civil rights.”
And yes, I’m enjoying this one. The irony in this one is too ripe to resist. And yes, there’s video.
From HotAir
“To cleanse the palate. If he’d forgotten to bring his driver’s license, this clip would have been 24-karat comedy gold. As it is, I’m surprised that he didn’t seize the opportunity to say something about voter ID laws afterward. His own DOJ has sued several states to try to get them lifted; some on the left have already pre-positioned them as a reason to declare Romney’s presidency illegitimate if Obama loses. You’d think O might have thrown them a bone here.
Fun fact: Illinois law doesn’t require voter ID on election day. Only early voters (plus a few others) are legally required to show it.”
Now see, that wasn’t hard, was it?
🙂
What should we pray about today?
1 Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord.
Good morning!
Who has a Question of the Day?
Quote of the Day
“It really bugs me that someone will tell me, after I spent 20 years being educated, how I’m supposed to think.”
Clarence Thomas
Just keep telling yourself that.
We’ll start off with the original from TheHill
“Several Virginia Democrats have asked the Justice Department to investigate allegations of voter fraud surrounding a GOP firm working in the Old Dominion and other battleground states.
Reps. Jim Moran, Bobby Scott and Jerry Connolly say recent allegations of registration fraud by Strategic Allied Consulting in Florida — combined with last week’s voter-fraud arrest of a Republican operative linked to the firm in Virginia — merit a federal probe to determine if the episodes “are connected and constitute a broader conspiracy of voter registration fraud.”
“The number of allegations in a multitude of locations would seem to suggest something more than the isolated acts of ‘a few bad apples,’ ” the lawmakers wrote Tuesday to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.”
More from NBC
“The request comes five days after Pinpoint contractor Colin Small, 31, was arrested and charged with 13 felony and misdemeanor counts of voter registration fraud. Sheriff’s deputies in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley say Small tossed voter registration forms into a trash bin in Rockingham County.
Pinpoint was contracted by Virginia’s Republican Party to register voters.
Its parent company, Strategic Allied Consulting, is under investigation in Florida for more than 200 allegations of voter registration fraud.”
Sounds serious, I hope they’re punished if there’s proof. Regardless of party affiliation.
Which brings us to the next one, where there’s actually video.
Yes, he did it again. James O’Keefe strikes again.
But what makes this even more interesting is the person in question is none other than the son, and campaign worker/member of Rep Jim Moran. Yes, the son of one of the man crying vote fraud on the other side is helping educate people how to commit vote fraud. Needless to say, he’s now officially resigned.
Someone’s projecting. And note that some of the footage takes place in the Obama’s Organizing for America local office.
Language Warning! if you watch the video.
“Project Veritas has released a new investigation that exposes Representative Jim Moran’s Field Director, Patrick Moran, conspiring to commit election fraud.
When approached by an undercover investigator for advice on how to steal the votes of more than 100 people, Moran advised falsifying documents to satisfy Virginia’s new voter ID law. He said, “Bank statement obviously would be tough, but they can fake a utility bill with ease.”
Moran went on to clarify that, “You’d have to forge it.””

And more attempts at voter intimidation in Florida.
From NBC
“The FBI and U.S. Postal Service agents are investigating bogus official-looking letters sent to voters in at least 28 Florida counties questioning their citizenship and their eligibility to vote, NBC News has learned.”
“It’s not clear who sent the letters, which were machine postmarked in Seattle. Couvertier said the FBI in Tampa is working with its Seattle office to track down the perpetrator.
Cate said a “significant majority have gone to Republican voters, but not exclusively. We’ve got Democrats who received the letters, we’ve got independents. We’re telling everybody to be on the lookout.”
What’s news today?
How about this?
The unhealthy alliance between the Obama admin and Muslim radicals continues to drive policy.
Fox, hen house
From Breitbart
“Over the last several years, the presence of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) operatives working inside the federal government advising our senior leaders has been definitively documented (see articles here , here and here). This penetration of our system is shocking and constitutes an immediate danger for American citizens. The success of the MB’s influence operation from within our government is now manifesting itself with national and global implications for the security of America and its citizens.”
“How was Imam Magid vetted to speak at CIA Headquarters? And who vetted him?
The ADAMS Center is a Muslim Brotherhood front organization. It was founded by some of the most senior Muslim Brothers in the United States, to include Ahmed Totanji, who still resides in Herndon, Virginia. Its website proclaims “[ADAMS] is a membership organization registered in the State of Virginia as a non-profit, tax exempt corporation and is affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).”
Imam Magid is the Executive Director of the ADAMS Center. He is also the President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in the U.S. which was found to be a financial support entity for Hamas in the largest terrorism financing and Hamas trial in U.S. history (US v Holy Land Foundation, Dallas, 2008). Having Magid advise and teach U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials can only be aptly described as insane. According to officials at Langley who were willing to speak on the condition of anonymity, this is an outrage – but none of the leaders on the inside seem to understand the gravity of this threat. To say the fox is in the hen house would be an understatement.”
And that’s not all.
From TheBlaze
“Is the man the Obama administration appointed on October 4 as key investigator for the terror attacks in Benghazi an Islamist-sympathizer? According to recently published reports, the new chairman of a State Department’s “Accountability Review Board,” which is heading the federal investigation into the Benghazi terror attacks, has been accused of being an “apologist for Islamic terrorism who has a cozy relationship with Iran.”
What’s more, the man in question — former Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering — has documented ties with the controversial group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR, of course, is a documented Muslim Brotherhood affiliate and was named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial — the largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history.
To make matters worse, Pickering is also co-chairman of the board of George Soros’ International Crisis Group who has ties to other Islamic organizations as well, including the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), which has been described as pro-Iran “front group.”
And yes, there’s more. Much more.
This has a very comprehensive listing of the ties, with lots of links.
“A year-long investigation by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has found that scores of known radical Islamists made hundreds of visits to the Obama White House, meeting with top administration officials.”
“Court documents and other records have identified many of these visitors as belonging to groups serving as fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and other Islamic militant organizations.
The IPT made the discovery combing through millions of White House visitor log entries. IPT compared the visitors’ names with lists of known radical Islamists.”
And now it’s easy to see the reason Obama’s MidEast policy seems to favor radicals over Israel.
Oh, and not weeks, not days, but 2 hours. That’s how long it took for the Obama admin to know it was a terrorist attack in Benghazi. Just further proof they lied. 300-400 people in the admin received the email, including the WH.
From Reuters
“Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.”
