  1. Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this lovely fall day. Thank You for the companionship of Christian brothers and sisters. I pray for all on this website to have a really blessed day. We each have our needs, often unspoken. You are familiar with them all. Please keep our families strong in You. Please help our unsaved friends and relatives to come to saving faith in You. Please help our nation to get on the track of revering You again as once this nation did. Keep us from temptations and keep evil far from us. I pray for voter fraud to be made known and to be prosecuted. May all people be given the strength and wisdom to cast a vote for the one whom would best serve Your will and live and govern by Biblical principals. May our constitution and vision of our founding fathers once again be honored as the rule of our land under You. Lastly, Lord, I pray our nation will not come under terrorist attack and that we can play a part in keeping peace in Israel. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  2. Yes, Kbells, your Hubby needs to call and find out about David. I am waiting to hear about a friend who was suppose to have surgery. Sometimes you hate to call or e-mail because you realize the family is so busy and just does not have time to respond.

I heard from my son. He has a cold which so far has not kept him from going to classes. Please pray he will quickly get over it and manage to keep up with all his school commitments. Thanks for your prayers.

  3. Oh and the Kid failed the history test he studied so hard for. I don’t understand what happened. I drilled him that night. He knew the answers. I drilled him as he was walking out the door that morning. He knew the answers. I’m not sure what else to do.

  4. Sorry to hear about the test results, Kbells. Is it allowed that you could meet with the teacher to go over the results and see the paper and how it got marked? Just to see which things he got right and wrong for future work on weak areas? And also just to verify the teacher did not somehow make a mistake in grading? A good teacher would want to make every effort to get the student on track, and I think the teacher would be happy for a parent to meet and go over the test.

  5. KBells, I’m so sorry about the test. Does he freeze during testing times, by chance? I think sometimes I’ve suffered from that, though “essay” exams were pretty easy and I made it through college with honors.

But interestingly, I’ve even recently decided I simply am not cut out to “compete” in the dog training/show realm, which reminded me of how awful academic tests also always were for me.

Some people may be simply adverse to competition (?) so that they do poorly on those big “Exams,” even when they know the answers. Maybe it’s a fear of failure — if I don’t try, I can’t truly fail. ?

Definitely try to talk to the teacher.

Sounds like he knows the material, but there’s an issue with the idea of being tested on it.

  6. There was a mistake on the test. The failed test she sent back was an older test that I forgotten to sign and had already seen. The test he took since we changed how we study was way in back of a stack of papers she sent home. It was an A. So, what changed did work and it’s not as hopeless. as I had thought 🙂
