  1. Short-term request: I had a headache last night when I went to bed, and it is a bit worse now this morning. Requesting prayers that it will not affect my functioning today, as I have a lot of things I want to accomplish with the children today.

Long-term request: One daughter and I have some fairly significant dental work that needs to be done soon, and the only way we are able to pay for it is to raid our property tax fund. It will be down to $0 after the dental work, and we’ll have three months to get together approximately $1400 to be able to make our half-year payment when it’s due at the end of January.

My husband is working on getting a vehicle in shape to sell for a bit more than half of that amount, so we are praying that between that and some other source(s) we may be able to build our fund back up in time.

  2. Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Monday and the start of a new week. Help us all to integrate You into all of our plans and activities, making You the top priority, as we go about the weekly business. Don’t let us appear as just a “Sunday Christian” but let us all be known as “24/7 Christians.”

Lord, I pray for the headache that 6 Arrows suffers will diminish into no pain felt as mine did earlier. Help her as she tackles all the things she has to do this week. May she completely turn over any anxiety about the way to pay for dental work and taxes to Your care. Help her and her husband to find ways to pull together the needed funds. I pray if they are able to sell something that the buyer will come around really soon after the For Sale notice is issued. Thank You for finding ways to take care of our needs working behind the scenes to make things happen perfectly on time.

Please continue to bless Darby, Nicole and the police officer in San Diego with the healings and situations that will be best for their families during these stressful days of waiting for things to get better. Also, I pray for ease in the adjustment of Phos in her new mission. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Thanks for the prayers…headache’s gone! I’ll update with progress made on the money situation when there is some news to report. God is faithful to provide all our needs. I keep reminding myself to simply believe God. He’s looking out for us.

  4. Fisher’s Nest: please pray for son A, who is fifteen and adopted last Thursday. This is the time when children try to find out if we were serious when we adopted them. He is working with our teacher we hired, but is being very disrespectful. I told her to expel him any time and we would deal with it. He is still in the area that could go either way. He is very bright and could graduate, but the system only got him through the fourth grade and that without really being able to write or read. We have little time and a lot to do and his attitude matters. We are also willing to let him not graduate if needed and just get into a labor intensive job.

  5. Heavenly Father, You know what makes that young man, fifteen-years-old, tick, what makes his heart race with excitement. I pray it is a subject that can be studied in depth so he can read about it, do math related to it, learn about how it differs in all the countries of the world, write papers about it and research it on the internet. Lord, please take that spark of interest in the subject and let it grow into a base of knowledge that he can apply to other subjects. May he come to see the joy in learning. I pray his disrespect will turn to respect as he comes to realize how valuable his instructors are in providing resources for him to pursue his favorite interest. Please help him feel he is developing competence and becoming an expert in this one area. I pray others will show interest in what he is learning and wants to share. Make it clear if he has the aptitude for college or if he should concentrate efforts elsewhere to not waste financial resources and to not struggle needlessly or lose confidence in his abilities. Lord, You are the arranger of time frames. Please make a way for things to happen quickly as needed, but we recognize Your authority in setting the times when things occur which do not always match our routine schedule of how things are suppose to happen in sequence. Please bless all the people involved in this learning adventure with patience and grace. In the name of Jesus, Amen
