“Even as Iran has been “pummeled” by Israeli and American air strikes, with its military capabilities greatly diminished, Tehran continues to demonstrate resolve, both in adapting and expanding its military tactics, observers told ABC News.”
“Just so we are clear, the *Lebanese government* is taking a more reasonable position on a terrorist trying to kill American Jewish children than the New York Times and much of our “elite” and “mainstream” media.”
“This is remarkable, the embassy of Lebanon to the United States condemned yesterday’s terrorist attack in Michigan.
This is the very first time I. Lebanon’s history that the government gives sanction to a condemnation for Hezbollah hitting Jewish soft targets abroad.”
Is it propaganda or is it news? Depends who you talk to and their point of view. Sure, the Trump admin is unhappy with some of the news — so perhaps they want their version of the news ie propaganda? Maybe they should have planned this war of choice better so the news is better?
I don’t think any news source denies Iran is getting pummelled. At the same time, it’s also quite obvious that Iran is still capable of retaliating and demonstrating resolve. They also still have a range of options that they are using.
They have effectively closed the Straits. They are hitting infrastructure in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. They are hitting Israel. The iron dome appears quite weak. This isn’t propaganda, this is fact and therefore news.
Meanwhile Trump has asked the UK, France and other nations to escort tankers through the straits. Did the Trump admin not see this as a problem before they attacked Iran? Where was the planning to cope with this threat? For over 40 years, the Pentagon has war gamed an attack on Iran and the straits was always an issue. Its probably why the US hasn’t attacked before, so why didn’t the Trump admin understand this?
Reminds me — I thought rumours that the US was moving missile interceptors from South Korea to the Persian Gulf were just rumours — why would the US need to do this less than a week into a war? I thought they would have planned the material needed and made sure the supply chain was in motion before any attack. However, I’m wrong, they are dismantling systems in South Korea and bringing them to the Gulf — the level of incompetence in planning is incredible here.
From what I’ve read, the attack on the Jewish synagogue appears to stem from personal trauma rather than any terrorist organisation. A man’s family was killed by the Israeli bombing in Lebanon and this was the man’s response. The Lebanese embassy is obviously trying to distant itself from the attack. Nothing surprising here. And I’m not sure why anyone is mentioning Hezbollah in that context.
My impression of Iranian supported groups in the Middle East was they were regionally focused — they attacked targets in the middle east, Israeli, American or Arab, and not targets outside the middle east.
Finally, why would anyone renounce American citizenship? What’s the benefit? I realise American citizens have to file taxes even when they live abroad and don’t earn income in the US but other than that what’s the point? Most Europeans living in Canada don’t renounce citizenship nor do Canadians living abroad, there’s just no point. Is the tax benefit the only issue for Americans?
Yep.

“This is straight-up propaganda by a media complex that wants our military to fail solely because it would make Trump look bad.”
