  1. Janice – Thank you for asking. Mostly, I guess, for peace and calm in my heart in the midst of the changes and the things that I still have to go through until I will finally be ensconced in my eventual new home. (But also that everything will work out smoothly when it is time, and that God will bring me the help I need when I need it.)

There is so much I need to deal with, and if I think about it all at once, it is too overwhelming. In the stresses and anxieties of this past year (the hardest year I have had since Hubby died), God has taught me to finally learn that lesson of taking one day and step at a time, and to trust Him more deeply with whatever is ahead. There are some “what ifs” and “what abouts” that I have to purposely not think about yet, until or unless they actually become a problem. (And hope and pray that they will not be problems.)

I shared that at my ladies’ Bible study group a couple or so months ago, and they all nodded, agreeing that it is a human trait to want to know what is coming up and what we’re supposed to do. Sometimes we can have an idea about that, and other times we have no idea, and must refrain from trying to figure everything out ahead of time.

  2. Nj…

Praying for you Kizzie and even through the unknowns you continue to lean on His provision and guidance as He tells us in Matthew. I always thought to myself when I was a worrier…”but I’m not a bird…I’m a woman who nests and wants to know what tomorrow holds”! I do believe women tend to look forward more than men wanting everything neat and tidy. We trust He will reveal to you the forward path in His perfect time and work those details out in His perfect manner…you are so loved sister..

  3. Heavenly Father,

I lift up Kizzie to You, knowing You love her tremendously and have good plans for her and her family. You created her for Your good purposes and good works. Help her to have clear vision of all the good things You have stored up for her. Keep her from temptation to look down or feel overwhelmed by unknown or speculated obstacles. Please make straight pathways to your opportunities to do more than she can think or imagine. Please give blossoming good relationships with her daughters, becoming closer as they age. May the daughters see new facets of their mom as she jumps over hurdles with confident ease because of Your enabling. Thank You for the difference a prayer covering can make to bring peace and rest in You. Help us all to focus on You and Your excellent goodness in our lives. Help us to not get weary doing good and staying on Your best path for our lives as a secular world watches to see what God’s peculiar people do during what many think of as hard times. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  4. Thank you, Janice.

It’s funny that you should mention hurdles. Last year I compared all of this to a long and difficult obstacle course, which hurdles would be a part of. With God’s help and leading, I have gone over some of those hurdles and other obstacles. Although there are still a few left, I am feeling more positive about getting over those that remain.
