Good morning on a beautiful start to Labor Day activities. It’s our gigantic Dragon Con weekend with many visitors in town pretending to be someone besides themselves.
It is a chilly overcast morning. Three foxes have been rollicking out front…perhaps it’s the weather!! Hopefully they are catching vermin out there!
The annual Springs hot air balloon fest is off to a dud start. No lift off due to winds and low clouds. They should have a better day tomorrow. It is parents week at the Air Force Academy … we stay home when the town gets extra crowded!
I walked rather late yesterday and only saw a few people out with their dogs. Then I heard the sounds of children playing and as I neared the elementary school I saw many cars and realized they were having a big activity at the school. I found a bench to rest on and prayed for all the families, teachers, and staff at the school. We can’t cover our schools enough with prayer these days.
Hmm, good question, Janice. I don’t really remember. I think they may have posted it in the paper or at churches or something. It was at the Catholic church or school that we met, but I was not attending there, and others were not either.

There are sure a lot of ways for adults to play these days, Janice. Can you just imagine what our grandparents and great grandparents would think?

I used to meet regularly with a Moms in Touch group. We prayed for our students and teachers. It was nice, because it was not a long meeting.
