    • Thank you. And each new day is indeed a brand new blessing. We’re planning to get together with extended family for a late breakfast. Cousins are up from Florida, and so is my oldest son with his children. It’s a houseful!

  1. I bought a dragon fruit at the market to try. A lady stopped me and said to be sure and hang around home when you eat that. The man I had asked about it told me they are good for detox. They are full of health benefits. I also bought a bag of rambutan as I found they are quite good, in my opinion.

  2. Good morning, all, and happy birthday, Debra.

We are back from a wonderful time at the reunion. We were located at the YMCA of the Rockies by Estes Park in Colorado. A week of fun and relaxation, playing horseshoes, cornhole, volleyball, tennis, pickleball, hiking, horse riding, meals together, and talking.

We were enjoying a fun afternoon of making and eating snowcones when I received word my dad had passed away. God’s mercy, I was with cousins who had known and loved him longer than I had so lots of laughter and tears.

He continued his laps into the last week, though we knew he was shutting down. But then he could no longer use his legs but soon went to sleep and then dropped into a coma. Peaceful. Wonderful to have had the last two and a half years with him and grateful my brother and sister in law had the last week.

Thank you for your prayers over the years for him. God will do what He will do.

  3. Mumsee – I am so sorry! May God comfort you as you grieve. For your sake and for his, I am so glad that you were able to take care of him for the last couple years of his life. God bless you! ❤

  4. Well done, Mumsee. I’m thankful for the extra years you had with him–and for the difference it made for your father.

We’re never old enough to lose them, but you’ll never regret the sacrifices you made to love him.

  5. Our condolences Mumsee. And again, thank you for showing us how to gracefully and lovingly deal with the end of a loved one’s life.

    God bless you all.
