Good morning! I am glad you changed the photo, AJ. An orange sunset sky is not a pleasant sight for those in disaster areas.
I got the Great Blue Heron shot while on a walk with Son near our unit. I was surprised to get so close to the bird. Of course I enlarged it before taking the photo. I got many pictures of it. I have some nice egret photos, too.
Thank you, Cheryl. It was my best photo from our trip.
We made it through the snow day fine, but now have freezing rain that can cause downed tree limbs and power lines. We are not well prepared for it, but will do our best if we lose power. My friend, K, is on oxygen and needs power for her compressor. They have already lost power. It may be a scary night. Thanks to any who see this and pray. It is small trouble compared to CA fires which is truly like he’ll. At least we have down sleeping bags.
You are right, Kathaleena, that bird does look like inspiration for a Loony Tunes character!
Thanks for praying for no power loss. We had power and warmth all night long. The temp is going down from right at 32° so we are stuck here with a driveway and street full of ice. We have food. We have water. We have warmth. All our needs are met by our gracious Lord. Praying for those who are without.

Janice, that is a beautiful photo! Really good detail on the eye and feathers, and a lovely pose.

Praying you don’t lose power, Janice. That bird has character. 🙂

Or, I should say, it looks like a character. I think one of the good illustrators could make him into an interesting cartoon character.
