  1. Once again, the uniparty traitor wing of the party will work to limit the Trump, and voters, agenda.

“The fact that Thune decided to make Mitch McConnell head of the rules committee means he plans on stopping Trump’s agenda in the Senate.

Head of the rules committee is the most powerful position in the Senate. He will not allow recess appointments.

He will make it harder to vote on bills he doesn’t like. He will do everything to protect pork filled omnibus bills.

    And Thune put him there.”

  2. Truth.

“Trump wins the popular vote, the electoral college, 7 swing states and changes the makeup of the Republican Party.

The Senate loses like 4 of its races and only has a majority because of Trump’s coattails so they decide to ignore their voters and give control to the two biggest Trump haters.

Thune as majority leader and McConell as head of the rules committee.

Double barrel middle finger to their base.

    They could care less.”

  3. Yeah, the govt lied, it was a fed op, and they’re still trying to hide the truth.

“In their latest filing in my case, the government just admitted the undercover police provocateur was indeed repeatedly urging people to move up the steps and joining them in chants of “drain the swamp and ‘whose house? our house!”

“However, the government still argues this video should be hidden from the American people. They accuse me of trying my case in the media rather than a court. This is hypocritical. The DOJ rushed to do a press conference on January 7, 2021 and has leaked to the media ever since.”

  4. Someone posted this yesterday:

“For the love of God (literally), please have a higher standard for who you emphatically support than just “who they hate” and “who hates them.” We can do better. We must do better. ”

Hate is not a standard. We don’t talk to each other any more; we talk at each other. It’s no wonder there is no meeting if the minds because we don’t respect each other’s minds or apparently each others motives for arriving at the conclusions we come to. This is not just a problem with those considered “radicals”, it’s a problem with “moderates” too.

  5. Not a federal op. Just common police tactics. They won’t release anything that confirms it but its the norm. I warned my daughter before she went to a few protests that undercover police always encourage the protest to break rules so the police can justify a crackdown. When you see people break windows, it’s usually cop but it’s also your responsibility to leave.

Whether or not there were police provocateurs does not excuse illegal behaviour by others. When a masked man throws rocks through a window, its time to go home and if you don’t its on you.

~ … Senate Republicans are doing triage on Trump’s picks, and Gabbard’s is next on the trauma list. The Senate Intelligence Committee is one of the last bastions of functionality and bipartisanship in the upper chamber, and its members will not be well disposed to even the idea of giving Gabbard a platform in a hearing to push her claims.

While the furor over Hegseth and Kennedy plays out in the press, keep an eye on Gabbard. She will need to go a long way to prevent four Republicans from nixing the pick, and while she isn’t as easily discredited as Gaetz, the position she’s seeking is just as sensitive and significant as the one he was seeking. … ~

  7. “The Senate Intelligence Committee is one of the last bastions of functionality and bipartisanship in the upper chamber…”

That’s laughable. They sat on their thumbs while President Trump was maligned and impeached based on opposition research which they knew to be untrue. They cant’ handle actual accountability which is why they have a problem with any nominee in any position that is likely to bring any. If McConnell has his way, it will be very difficult to do more than allow corruption as usual to continue. But we’ll see.

You’re right — there is no excuse for the police behaviour. But as adults we are responsible for our own behaviour and cannot use the police provocation as an excuse for joining in the violence.

I’m 6:19 — Trump just appointed a Wall Street insider, a Soros prodigy, as Treasury Secretary. Would not Trump supporters who voted for him based on a need to drain the swamp feel betrayed with this pick?

  9. HRW, regarding adult responsibility that goes without saying. People have to be better than the government.
Better than those we elect to represent us, and better than the hirelings entrusted with the business of the citizenry.

As long as the agenda moves along I don’t mind who does the heavy lifting at whatever dept. Good character is preferable to bad, but other than that I’m not excited about it. Sorry if my outrage doesn’t seem to match the occasion, but what do you expect from a deplorable. 😉

  10. Woohoo! I agree with Michael Moore about something. Maybe that means either he’s not as bad as you thought or I’m worse . You decide:

“Radical left-wing documentary filmmaker Michael Moore is roasting outgoing President Joe Biden for starting World War III on his way out of office….”
