It’s such a beautiful season, autumn at its height, in which to celebrate. I know CA does not get the same extreme colors in some parts, but you have such beauty to enjoy where you are. We have a young walnut tree with giant leaves that turn a beautiful shade of yellow. I watch for it each year. The late afternoon sun always makes it glow.
I am snowed in at Ruidoso.it was raining when I left home last night and I figured the forecast was much ado about nothing. We had rain here all night, but at home it snowed over 8 in and is still dumping with another 6 expected. I listened to the scanner squawk all night about wrecks and semis off the road in my area.
I went to Walmart to buy essentials and am sleeping at a dayshift co-workers camper.
I think this will be the biggest snow we have had in several years.
RK you are in the middle of our Albuquerque low??? After our regional drought it is glorious yes!? Let it snow! Thankful you have a safe shelter during the storm!
We have over a foot and it hasn’t stopped snowing. 4 more inches today and another 9 predicted for tomorrow. The town has pretty much shut down for three days!
It will come this way but will turn into rain here. That is okay as long as it doesn’t get too cold. Then I would prefer snow. Glad you could be safe, kare.

Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. I am still enjoying walnuts from last year’s harvest of our tree, in my cabbage salad each day. Delicious.

The temp today went from 68° to 73°. It was so muggy with cloud cover so dreary for my walk.
It was refreshing to see a new yard sign, “Pick Up After Your Dog.”
