Praying for NJ’s implant to be slowly doing what it is suppose to do with God’s help and timing. Please, Lord, keep that divine weaving into perfection going on as it should be in NJ’s jaw. In Jesus’ name, Amen
As the campaign/election season heats up even more (as if it weren’t hot enough already!), let’s pray that we believers will remember who we are and Who we belong to and serve, and that we are supposed to be witnesses to the lost. It makes me cringe and feel sad to see some believers replying to unbelievers in harsh, rude ways over political differences. 😦
Amen @12:59 (as our pastor often reminds us, the goal is not winning an argument but winning the man in those instances; and — also something our pastor often reminds us of — we should always be personally respectful to all when “debating”).
Young editor (for our coastal LA group of tri-county publications) is overwhelmed, our assistant editor resigned/retired about a month ago so he has no one to really lean on during this period when candidate/race stories are flooding in, school contests to judge, along with weeklies to get out besides the dailies.
I asked him how he was doing and he said he’s getting by, “living vicariously” through the upcoming Dodgers World Series adventure soon to be upon us (he played baseball as a youth and is quite the Dodger fan, as most of us are around here).
But prayers that this period can go as smoothly as possible with a short-handed staff, added pressures on editor, and a big election coming up. 😦
After considering for several hours, he has decided not to vote. First presidential election he has missed in seventy plus years. He feels he is too uninformed and takes voting very seriously. I pointed out he is probably better informed than many voters. He said it has always been that way, people vote with no knowledge but for him it is too important. Tough call for him, a lifelong follower of politics.

Amen.
Also praying for our country and our candidates and that believers would keep faith in God as the answer.

Pray for meeting today between our union and management, that something significant can be agreed to (monetarily) so we can avoid a strike.

Prayer for success in getting my dad registered to vote. He is now cognizant enough to want to.

Feeling the pain, Mumsee.
Our pastor, too, pleaded that no one treat others poorly over differences of opinion about the election. Y’all woul like what he said.
My CA friend and I are back in touch.
