  1. 📉📉 CNN ran a revealing story yesterday headlined, “Kamala Harris spars with Fox News anchor in testy interview.” Almost every mockingbird media headline about yesterday’s interview with Fox News’ Brett Baier included the word, “testy.” So now we know! Testy means when the reporter insists that the interviewee answer the question, a rare strain of media treatment Kamala has never before encountered, but which used to be the default back before the government acquired corporate media.

    image 8.png

CLIP: Brett Baier tells Kamala he has no idea what she’s talking about (0:50).

During her ‘testy’ interview with Brett, Kamala tried to execute the same oleaginous maneuver as during her debate with Trump, which was to recite a little memorized speech whenever Brett asked her a question, even if the little speech had nothing whatever to do with the question Brett asked except for the topic area.

    For instance:

BRET: “How many illegal immigrants would you estimate your administration has released into the country over the last three and a half years?”

KAMALA: “Bret, let’s just get to the point. Okay? The point is that we have a broken immigration system that needs to be repaired.”

(Am I the only one who finds totally infuriating Kamala’s verbal tic of punctuating her speeches with “Okay?”)

She also claimed, possibly for the very first time, that her presidency would not in fact just continue Joe Biden’s regime. But, when Brett asked her to name something she’d do differently than Joe, she couldn’t even come up with a single example. She just rambled away sixty seconds of precious airtime.

Based on corporate media’s desperate efforts to rescue her from herself, and based on social media’s crowd reaction, it was the worst interview performance Kamala has ever given. My guess is she won’t be sitting for any more unscripted interviews. Back to the basement

  2. IMO, this was the worst moment of the night for @KamalaHarris

“LIAR: In yet another example of how Kamala Harris is unmoored from reality, she took to Fox News tonight to boast about prosecuting the Guadalajara Cartel—a cartel that dissolved in the late 1980s, well before Harris even put on her first prosecutor’s badge. Let’s be clear: Kamala Harris became a prosecutor in 1990, after the Guadalajara Cartel had ceased to exist. Yet, here she is, rewriting history to present herself as a warrior against cartels she never confronted.

This isn’t just an exaggeration; it’s an outright lie, a fabrication meant to inflate her résumé for political gain. Not only is there no record of Harris ever prosecuting a single cartel case, but it would have been impossible for her to take on the Guadalajara Cartel since it was dismantled long before she had any authority to prosecute anyone. It’s insulting to the intelligence of the American people that she would even make such a claim.

What does this tell us about her character and suitability for higher office? Quite a bit. A person who will lie so brazenly on national television cannot be trusted with the reins of power. If she’s willing to invent a legacy of cartel prosecutions out of thin air, what else is she lying about? The American people deserve a president who is truthful, not someone who peddles in fantasy to bolster their political ambitions.

This should be disqualifying for any candidate, let alone someone aspiring to be President of the United States. Kamala Harris’ track record of misrepresentation and deceit only adds to the growing pile of reasons why the American public must reject her—and this entire administration—at the ballot box. We need leaders who stand on fact, not fiction.

  9. Remember when ABC’s David Muir “fact checked” Trump on crime stats during the debate?

Yeah, he was wrong, and bought the lies the Biden was pushing. A simple fact check would have shown him they were lying all along, but his intent was to make Trump look like he was wrong, rather than presenting the truth. This aged like fine milk in the July sun.

  10. Kamala Harris, the so-called “Border Czar,” is facing an unprecedented crisis as Border Patrol agents, fed up with the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous immigration policies, are threatening to leave their jobs in droves if she wins the presidency in 2024. These agents, responsible for safeguarding America’s borders, are speaking out about the hell they’ve endured under Harris’s watch. And let’s be clear—Harris’s failures are no secret.

The National Border Patrol Council, representing 16,000 agents, has already made their stance loud and clear. They’ve officially strongly endorsed Donald Trump, recognizing him as the only leader who will restore order at the southern border. Their message is simple: If Harris is elected, the country’s border security will crumble even further, and they’ll be walking off the job, leaving America vulnerable.

  11. “The race remains tight” – that’s the mainstream narrative so that the STEAL will be easier to swallow. These fake poll numbers are still being fed to the public for the purpose of deceiving voters into expecting a very small victory margin. The Dems and globalists are using whatever means necessary to steal another election by waiting for the final count of Trump votes, then adding on what they think they will need to push Harris over the top.

An installed candidate who has never won a primary is supposedly running neck-and-neck with a popular ex-president who received over 80 million votes in 2020. 😉

The race isn’t actually that close, and hopefully, states are still seeking to remove dead voters from the rolls, as well as illegals who have been fraudulently registered during the last three years or so.

  12. Debra (re: your comments at the end of yesterday’s thread) – I have read “salacious” used in a slightly different way, which is how I used it. But you are right that my understand of the word was tilted in the wrong direction, and that is not the meaning I intended.

Even so, any rumor should be avoided, especially when it affects a person’s reputation. I think my point in using the word “salacious” was to underscore that rumors dealing with sexual misbehavior/sin have an even worse, and often lasting, effect on a person’s reputation than general rumors (which are bad enough).

The media on both political sides may print rumors (although they are supposed to mention when a story is unsubstantiated), but that does not get us individual believers off the hook for the same thing.

As for the rumors about Pelosi, that is something I have mentioned a few times, and is supposedly known fairly well, and yet the references to her being drunk continue from time to time.

  13. Interesting to scan through the reactions to the FOX interview. The first thing in my news feed this morning was a page congratulating Harris for putting Baier in his place for attempting to mansplain immigration. We bring our own

In terms of immigration, Harris has one objective – focus on the immigration deal that Trump instructed Republicans to cancel. This has been a consistent strategy of Democrats and I’m sure they polled it and test marketed prior to using it. From the transcript I read, she succeeded.

Of course, she wants to focus on Trump. He’s the opponent and an opponent who’s rarely held to scrutiny when it comes to policy especially on FOX. So she criticised him all night long. Good work on her part.

  15. Tychicus,

in reference to your comments yesterday and today. I don’t consider Trump a conservative – he’s a right wing populist. America’s two party system frequently gets described as conservative vs liberal but its more like two coalitions against each other. Social conservatives and neo-con economics vs social liberals and welfare liberalism (capitalism with a human face) (Both parties/coalitions are on the righ economically). Trump deviates from neo-con economics and is better placed with right wing populists like Erdogan, Orban, etc who will ignore classical economics when popular support goes another way

But even if we simplify it to Republican = conservative, the conservative vote/movement is in decline. Since 1988, the Republican candidate for president has won the popular vote only once (2004). In 2016, Trump won the presidency with only 46.1% of the popular vote. In 2020 he lost with 46.8% of the popular vote. Indications are he will get similar numbers in November. Only the electoral college will give him or any Republican a win. They are a minority party, relying on rural over-representation and the electoral college.

The presidential vote is only close this year because of the electoral college. Harris will win the popular vote by around 2-3%; a decline from Biden’s 4.5% margin. If the election were held today, I would be very cautious in making a prediction other than the popular vote.

As for purging voter rolls — it’s technically too late. Once voting has started, you can’t purge voter rolls. If there were illegitimate voters on the rolls, the respective state election bodies have had at least two years to clean them up.

  16. I think the distinction about posting tales that may be true or untrue (quoting Kizzie) is (and should be as believers) “when it affects a person’s reputation.” Seems like the instances are usually self-evident should one care to think before posting.

These kinds of posts often are inflammatory and I don’t really get the sense that posters are always innocently seeking accuracy. But that’s for each of us to discern in our own conscience, best that it’s done with honesty before it’s posted.

  18. 40% inflation — that’s impossible even if they mean 10% a year since 2020.

Currently inflation is around 2-3% in North America, and 1-3% in western Europe. In 2023, Canada and the US had an inflation rate of 4% which qualified them to be in the bottom 10 in terms of inflation worldwide. As much as Americans and Canadians don’t want to hear it, we escaped the worst of the post Covid inflation.

Can we dispute the way inflation is measured? Certainly, I happen to know the guy who decides what basket of goods we use to measure the consumer index and thus the inflation rate in Canada. I think he undercounts rent and energy as do some economists but most agree with my friend so his rate wins out. Even if we change the basket of goods or the weight given to rent or energy it won’t bring the rate up to 10%.

Just weeks before the 2024 election, President Joe Biden has announced his administration will be canceling another $4.5 billion in student debt.

Biden made the announcement on Thursday, saying the newly canceled debt was for more than 60,000 public service workers. Biden noted that the latest round of debt forgiveness brings the total number of Americans who have had their student debt canceled under this administration to more than 1 million.

“Public service workers – teachers, nurses, firefighters, and more – are the bedrocks of our communities and our country,” Biden said. “They dedicate their careers to giving back to others, and were given the promise of student debt forgiveness after 10 years of public service and 10 years of payments under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. But for too long, the government failed to live up to its commitments, and only 7,000 people had ever received forgiveness under Public Service Loan Forgiveness before Vice President Harris and I took office.”

  20. Debra – Not bearing false witness is one of the Ten Commandments, meaning that God takes that very seriously. Spreading rumors and conjecture that negatively (even grossly) affect someone’s reputation should be off the table for Christians.

Perhaps an actual legitimate legal accusation (with the person being lawfully charged or sued) by a non-anonymous (how’s that for a word?) accuser would be news. But even there, we should check our own motive for sharing about it.

I guess I think it would be nice to have a much more well accomplished and well spoken woman who could be looked up to by a majority of people in our nation and around the world, someone who actually earned the spot instead of being placed in it by the few who run things behind the scenes. I would like to see a lady who could be an excellent example for our nation’s grandchildren. I am being generous in saying that she did not excel as VP,. That is reason enough to wish for another to be the first woman president.

I think deep down that she must feel badly about herself. She is unable to be an authentic person and answer questions in a straightforward manner. She always gives the canned answers. Canned Camalies which are all about hatred for Trump.

I don’t like to see a person’s reputation smeared, so I don’t create tales. But questions of personal behavior are relevant to the character of public figures as you well know. Now we know the accusation is there we don’t really need to be preoccupied with the gory details of speculation. Truth will out eventually.

Kamala Harris by intent showed up late for the interview. She quit early. She filibustered all that was asked, lost her temper, and serially interrupted Bret Baier— all in lieu of answering a single question. She grimaced, scowled, and proved as petulant and unlikeable as she was vacuous.  We were asked to believe absurdly that the currently disastrous Biden-Harris border, crime wave, and economy were all the out-of-office Trump’s fault.

In contrast, J. D. Vance in his debate rendered the smears empty and showed the nation he was a nice guy with a razor-sharp mind. Harris in just 20 some minutes dispelled stereotypes too—she is not a pleasant but empty apparatchik, but rather an off-putting, disagreeable scowl.

If this eleventh-hour catch-up media blitz was supposed to show us the real under-appreciated Harris to win over the nation and stop her campaign’s hemorrhaging, it has only achieved the opposite. She’s in a doom loop: she cannot forever hide from the media and yet will lose the election if she is interviewed without a teleprompter.

    Speaker Mike Johnson

I recently traveled to NC and victims of Hurricane Helene told me nearly two weeks after landfall, the Biden-Harris Administration had STILL not provided them with all the resources they desperately needed. But CBS selectively edited OUT ENTIRELY this first-hand perspective.

Apparently, CBS also doesn’t want you to hear about Virginia Gov. Youngkin, who is trying to clean the state’s voter rolls so non-American citizens can’t vote there. We need more states doing this, but the Biden-Harris Administration is SUING VIRGINIA and trying to STOP it.

The Biden-Harris Admin let millions of illegal aliens in our country. So, the House passed the SAVE Act to ensure only American citizens vote in American elections. CBS edited that out and focused on 2020 instead of immediate threats to election integrity.

They have been reported by CAR to the FCC….

This isn’t just a one-time issue for CBS; they’ve been accused before of biased editing practices. Just last month during a segment on 60 Minutes, they re-edited an interview with Kamala Harris so her responses sounded more coherent than they actually were. Reports say her jumbled answers were spliced together into something much smoother—leading many people to believe that CBS is actively trying to protect her image rather than presenting facts as they are

    Washington Post story:

Massive influx of shadowy get-out-the-vote spending floods swing states

~ The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, has offered Americans $47 for each swing state voter they recruit to his effort to elect Donald Trump.

Democratic groups have started paying at least $160 to more than 75,000 voters who agree to contact dozens of their friends and relatives with requests to support Kamala Harris.

Other operations are hiring thousands of people and organizing many more volunteers to knock on doors, place phone calls and share social media about how to vote.

None of these get-out-the-vote efforts are the work of the presidential campaigns or political parties. They belong instead to a vast, shadow machinery built by partisans often under nonpartisan banners to provide the final nudge that delivers the White House by mobilizing unlikely voters in about seven states. Funded largely without public disclosure, through local outfits and national networks, most of the operations have been lying in wait for years in preparation for this moment. …
