My son and 2 young grandchildren are currently in the hurricane’s broad path—not the eye. They live in a new retirement community of trailers at Lake Panasoffkee (they were grandfathered in when it converted to retirement only). He said there are public shelters they can and will use. I also have a cousin and his family living closer to the coast about 20 min away from son. I’m praying for their safety and the safety of all those in the path. God is always good.
I will have a preserver colonoscopy tomorrow. I have begun the prep, and it’s not fun. It’s bad enough under normal circumstances but even worse when everything goes into a colostomy bag.
Plus I’m still dealing with the infection, the medication didn’t totally clear it up, so it’s painful and it stings like crazy.
Tomorrow I meet with a key young Czech leader about future cooperation on a new church plant in our town of 100,000 people. Please pray for a good meeting of our minds, and that the Lord would lead us clearly in His will for this new ministry initiative.
The Atlanta Motor Speedway is opened up and ready for many RVs to arrive from Florida. It’s maybe 25 minutes down the road from Art’s office. Please pray for safety for the crowds on the roads and staying in less than secure housing as they wait out the storm. Praying for safety from opportunists who may see an easy mark. Please, Lord, be merciful and make the storm go back out to sea. Please protect the many, many who will be impacted by a hit. Please help all those who still ache from Helene’s destruction. In Jesus’ name, Amen
