Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. My dad’s laundry is in the work, his room and bathroom cleaned, another Wednesday underway. Today is the follow up appointment for the great event a week and a half ago.
In talking with unbelievers about anything in the Bible, I think it is good to start with something like how I was once an unbeliever and found it so hard to understand how believers could possibly think like they do. Then tell a personal testimony that caused transformation that included giving up previous conclusions and accepting God’s wisdom. As Creator, He knows people and how easily they deceive themselves. He gave His word as loving guidance for the best path through this current world and on into eternal life with Him.
If someone asks what does God say about a subject then it’s a great opportunity to read on that subject in the Bible. Also talk about the hope that Christians have that a person will accept, over time, Jesus as Lord and Savior. Explain how some religions hate all who do not believe as they do and want to see them dead. In contrast, Christians try to do as Jesus did and love up front, and even if someone rejects the faith, because there is never ending hope for people to get on board with Jesus.
I hope those thoughts might be helpful to Jo or anyone here who has to have that type conversation. Each person has their on way of being a useful witness.
I am still really enjoying the Daughter of Cana book. What a wonderful time to indulge in Biblical Christian novels that have God’s truth in the story presented from fictional characters points of view.
Hot and muggy morning! It was 80 degrees at 9am. I cleaned out the bird baths and I am watching 4 finches taking a nice cool bath in the one outside my window. I suppose it will need refilling as they made quite a splash!
Seeing a fair number of butterflies these days in my front and backyards.
And still a lot of webs everywhere.
I really need some time off work. 😦 But between (3 more) stories for two special sections, upcoming elections already ramping up locally, and just the regular beat meetings and stories to cover, I can’t figure out how to do that. I’m trying to churn out 2 stories today, need to complete some candidate questions to turn into the editor by tomorrow morning (when I also will have a port meeting to cover).
And I really should be back in PT for knee work but can’t figure out how to squeeze that in.
I am seeking to change vet offices for Miss Bosley. Son carried me by the one I am hoping to use which is very close to us and has a feline expert. I stopped by to see if I could get a paper copy of the new patient’s questionnaire. They have none. Everything is online. It was the most stark office I have ever been in. It was very small compared to what I am used to. There is no boarding facility, but since we will use Kamp Kitty from now on, that will not be a problem. I felt pretty shocked as it was all white with black trim inside, so basic, and with the small space, the few dogs waiting to be seen were filling the space with loud barking. A cat would need to wait outside. But expert care matters more than nice decor.
I am too tired these days to make much sense! I gotta have some down time. We tried all over Home Depot when I am suppose to go easy on the foot. We picked up supplies for the yard project.
Today I discovered an iris is missing from the ground by the mailbox. Who would dig up my iris? Son suggested that perhaps it got damaged during the tree work when the men had to put all their equipment in our yard. All the little things . . .
Wish we lived closer, Janice. I have a huge iris that needs to be divided. It is strange that it disappeared. You would think you would see something if it were just damaged.
I think the hole where the iris was looks too perfect for a squirrel or rodent dig, but could be wrong. I put fruit scraps out for squirrels that keeps them happy. They have not bothered the iris for thirty years. I also had a large clay pot of rosemary that disappeared when the tree work was done. I finally found that cracked up pot and the loosed rosemary plant over by the azaleas.
Good morning! It’s a beautiful day here in Atlanta. I heard a political rally got canceled in Savannah due to weather. God rains!

Small and white with black trim.
Sounds like my vintage 1920s bathroom.
We have a cats-only veterinarian office here that’s highly regarded.
None of them are cheap, unfortunately.

I just keep seeing your son carrying you by the vet’s office and you asking to be set down so you could inquire about the papers.
