Good morning! It’s so good to get out early and check out the skies. Breezy is my weather report. So glad that son got home before the twelve inches plus much more rain predicted hit his town.
Good morning from beautiful Idaho. Supposed to reach eighty seven today, currently Sixty four, but I went to bed before time to open the windows in the living room last night so seventy three inside.
thunderstorms have all day yesterday so expecting more fires. Smoke is in the air.
Morning! We were blessed with a wonderful rain last night and I think the smoke is mostly cleared from our skies! More thunderstorms to arrive this afternoon and this event is helping our firefighters with the fires…thankful!
It is just a beautiful summer day here, which is nice for all the National Night Out celebrations. We never get to our local one, since the group performs at another one. It should be good weather for those–sunny and mid-seventies.
Cheryl gave some excellent advice, yesterday, about what to do when someone is moving in with you.
I’m trying to wake up, the temperature dropped last night back into the lower 60s so at least this heat spell isn’t coming with uncomfortable nights. I’d had several large casement windows open in the living room last night when I was still up (bedtime is late for me, 11 p.m. or thereabouts) and I finally had to close them as the house was getting too cool.
It’s 85° with a breeze so pleasant here for August.
I am cooking salmon patties for lunch. They will make yummy fish sandwiches.
We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner, Bambinelli’s. Art and I shared Chicken Picata and Wes had Eggplant Parmagiana. Tasty.
Art had ordered the old sci-fi movie, Forbidden Planet. I fell asleep as it played.(a big meal does that to me). Unfortunately, the movie stopped part way through so they did not see it all. Art had ordered a new copy. At least Wes got to see part of it. I think it was meant as a late B/D present from Art.
So now we won’t know what happens to us and the Forbidden Planet?
Fans going here, too, the mornings and nights are cool but the afternoons are getting perilously close to 90 degrees.
Somehow my phone isn’t charging completely, I think I’m not getting it centered correctly on the chargers, or they need to be unplugged and plugged in again.
Dj, older phones seem to develop loose connections, and maybe old charger cords do. Sometimes you have to prop them a certain way to get a solid connection, based on my experience.
Janice, thanks — yes, mine is a wireless charging system (sort of), you just lay it on the charging pad; I have 2 pads, one next to my bed and the other in the living room. But they were purchased when I got the (12) iPhone probably 5-6 years ago?
Looks like it’s charging fine now though, last I checked.
Of course, mumsee has something like an iPhone 2 and it’s still running and charging …
I actually have to charge my phone every two or three days. They don’t hold up like they used to. But I would suggest your phones get more use than mine.
please pray. Granddaughter wanted to ask what I thought of Kamala. She has lots of opinions that are the opposite of mine. I did tell her that I believe the Bible is true. She wanted to know about gays so I read her verses from Romans 1

Agree, Cheryl’s advice was wise.

I’ve cooled the house with the fan, now to close everything as it will get to 100 today. County fair opens tomorrow

And you don’t really know. But I believe I said I was told iPhone 8. Don’t exaggerate.

New book out from Ligonier:
“A Field Guide on Gender and Sexuality
Meeting Confusion with Truth and Love”
As for politics, it’s a rabbit trail that can be a distraction and cause unnecessary division when speaking about the gospel.
