  1. Good morning!

    Thanks, Peter!

We are supposed to get up to 93° but we are starting out with lower humidity so it feels great so far.

I had an email that told the history of Christianbook(dot) com. I never knew it before.

“In the modest year of 1978, two brothers embarked on a journey that would reshape the landscape of Christian literature. At the tender ages of 19 and 14, the elder a Bible college freshman and the younger a high schooler, they launched their entrepreneurial venture from the heart of their parents’ home. The enterprise began humbly, and the response was swift and affirming. Soon after, the brothers found their familial abode bursting at the seams with the overflow of this unexpected blessing. Fast forward over four remarkable decades, and the once-small venture has blossomed into Christianbook. Nestled in a sprawling 370,000-square-foot facility in Peabody, MA, the company now proudly offers a vast array of more than 500,000 products.”

  2. Neat story, Janice! And, Janice, still working on my response. Very important question, I think.

Good morning, all. A beautiful day here. Last day of VBS.

  3. Jo, so happy to hear you could have that discussion with your grandson.

I recently heard from a wife about something she had said to her husband. He took it in a complete 360 direction from how she meant it. Fortunately, he said that to her, and she could respond with the truth of how she meant it. All those little misunderstandings can erode a relationship. I know I am guilty of sometimes just being silent. Who knows how many times it is a misunderstanding. This is not to say you misunderstood in this case, Jo. I am just speaking in general.

Those in office are asking for Federal disaster relief for communities or counties here. We have never seen such bad flooding. Those down south are preparing as the water will flow that way.

  4. Morning! Yesterday was filled with adventuring with a friend. We had a great time but the 10 hours overwhelmed my brain and I am kind of numb today!

The pollens are extremely bothersome but we did get a sprinkle of rain yesterday. Hoping for more but it doesn’t look promising..the Lord knows!

  5. Getting up to 77 today, having our usual mild temperatures so far.

Two stories to do today and then the weekend — which will pass by in a flash. 😦

I was so tired after having the kids yesterday.

longest day of the year and two years since I flew home from PNG. So different than I expected but God is good

  7. I, too, was delighted to hear of the continuing conversation with Archie. May the Truth come out and bring peace and joy and harmony.

  8. Speaking of discussions with grandsons, Boy and I got into one late one night earlier this week. He was confiding some stuff to me, and filled me in on something I didn’t know about his mom. Some of the information was very painful to hear, but I was glad that he told me. (He did not know that the information would be painful, and I didn’t let on that it was.)

  9. Janice, yes, that is what I was thinking, too. I’d rather know what is going on in certain areas, especially to pray about the matters involved.
