It took me a me a moment to understand the worm comment. The early bird catches the worm.
We have another beautiful day here. Bright, sunny, and low humidity. Really perfect.
I have been watching the signs of a pending move by long time neighbors. A plastic Santa and other decor of the season appeared on the street awaiting garbage collection. Santa got picked up by junk collectors in the night unless his reindeer rescued him with their magical flying sleigh. It won’t be the same without that brightly lit yard at Christmas.
As I walked late yesterday, I was out at dusk near a spot of large old trees. The birds sang their evening songs, like lullabies for their babies. God was dimming the sky light for the night. I awakened early to their songs again as God began turning on the morning light. I really like how He does that without having to change light bulbs!
I had to leave for an assignment this morning for a couple hours and when I got home the backyard lights were still off (as they should be). Good so far. We’ll see if they come back on at dusk now.
Assignment was covering a celebration (with about 1,000 folks on hand) of an ongoing project that’s transitioning massive, 110-year-old port warehouses on the waterfront into an ocean-tech study collaborative. Bill Ballard is among the tenants along with several universities.
I was running late (well, “just on time”) and had to park in a distant lot to walk the rest of the way when our council member spotted me from a stop sign and yelled “Want a ride?” yeah, for sure 🙂 So I also benefited from his designated close speaker’s parking space.
i had deliveries expected today from Walmart and Amazon. When I went outside, the Amazon delivery was sitting by the carport door. The Walmart delivery was in a chaif on the front porch. Walmart got here an hour earlier than Amazon. Who’s the fastest in town? Miss Bosley does not care as long as her cat food got delivered.😀
Am I really first?

Outdoor lights magically came on last night. ! Now they’re off. And I’m up between dawn and dusk. See, it’s all working out.

Happy Miss Bosley.
I order dog food either from Amazon or Chewy, both are similarly priced and have Abby’s food.
