Well, I’m feeling a lot better today, but decided not to risk sharing the remnants of whatever bug I had with the wedding celebrants. Mrs B and KJ just left, so I’m enjoying some solitude at our quiet BnB and praying for a good start for the about-to-be-married Katie and Mark.
Pray for my British friend from church John, he took a fall today after the fellowship meal at church — I haven’t reached his wife Brigitte yet, left a voicemail and a text for her. I just heard about this from another friend at church who had emailed me, I stayed in from church today due to the knee issue.
There were big plans for his 90th birthday party next Saturday night, several of us have been invited to their home for the party and a catered dinner on their patio overlooking the ocean — no gifts, just fellowship. Really concerned about him. He’s been a special friend.
Thanks, Janice. I do feel much better, though still a bit tired. We decided to forego a visit on the way home to shorten the drive a bit. We’re leaving Monday and should be home Tuesday. (Most people probably make the trip in one day but we’re poky travelers.)
