  1. It’s almost like global warming’s a scam…..

“EPAs Own Data Shows Only 19% of All Climate Stations Reported Warming Since 1948”

    https://co2coalition.org/2023/07/14/epa-few-stations-show-increase-in-hot-days/

“As reported by EPA, only 19% of all weather stations report an increase in the number of hot days since 1948!

Below is an important chart that somehow slipped by EPA’s “consensus” censorship squad. It is a map of all 1,066 weather stations across the United States. The change in the number of hot days for that station are ID’d as increasing (red), stayed the same (blank) or decreasing (blue).

A total of 863 stations, or 81%, reported either a decrease or no change in the number of hot days! Any guesses on how long this map will remain up on their site?”

    https://hotair.com/david-strom/2023/12/04/babylon-bee-actor-arrested-for-attending-protest-on-jan-6th-2001-n596400

    “Four misdemeanors.

He was arrested for four misdemeanors. In an airport. In front of his family. For offenses that took place years ago. At a protest. At the Capitol building. The FBI arrested actor Siaka Massaquoi at an airport in front of his family and all the world.

Insane. It is hardly an exaggeration to say that he is actually being arrested, even persecuted, for having supported Trump.

The news comes from Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee, a friend of Massaquoi, who has used his acting services for a hilarious series of videos named “Californians Move to Texas.””

“If you haven’t watched the series, it is spot on.

Siaka’s house was raided after the protest, so there is no question about the FBI “discovering” that he was at the protest, and he was not arrested then. Since then, Siaka Massaquoi has been easy to find, but the FBI left him alone. Until now.

In November 2023, nearly three years have passed, he was arrested at an airport as he returned from the premier of the Daily Wire’s movie “Lady Ballers.”

There is no excuse for this. The deployment of the FBI to arrest somebody for misdemeanors must be nearly unprecedented, especially taking somebody into custody in an airport in front of his family and the world. He was held overnight in jail.

For God’s sake, they could have issued a summons, not deployed the FBI. He was hardly a fugitive from justice. He is an actor.

But he is a Trump supporter, and almost as bad, he works with The Daily Wire and hence is considered an enemy by the regime.”

  3. Oh good.

Meanwhile the US bombed the Russian Nordstream pipeline which caused the largest methane gas leak ever, 500,000 tons of methane. But that’s totally fine. This is all about limiting your freedoms once again.

“EPA Seems to Be Setting Up U.S. to Join the Globalist “War on Meat”
As CoP28 climate conferences focuses on cows, the EPA is now targeting methane (a by-product of cattle digestion) and considering new effluent rules on meat industry.”

    https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/12/epa-seems-to-be-setting-up-u-s-to-join-the-globalist-war-on-meat/

“As the countdown to Nov. 5, 2024, has begun, it is important to note Biden’s poll numbers look as pale and sickly as be does.

November started with New York Times/Siena College polls showing Trump ahead in four of the six swing states, but more indicators of Biden’s electoral peril soon followed. The president’s standing in head-to-head matchups with Trump is falling: Among the latest surveys this month from 13 separate pollsters, Biden’s position is worse than their previous polls in all but two of them.

And while polls suggest most of the movement comes from voters abandoning Biden — who might become undecided but not swing to supporting Trump — the Republican has also started to gain steam. Trump’s vote share in the national polling average is higher now than at any point in the past year.

Question: If you are a woke, eco-activist bureaucrat looking at the future, what might you do?

    Answer: Double down on destruction.

This theory may explain some recent moves by the Biden Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

To begin with, the EPA is launching new regulations targeting methane emissions.

The rule’s 3 a.m. rollout was timed to coincide with the ongoing U.N. climate talks in Dubai, where the U.S. has sought to play a leading role in global efforts to reduce emissions of the powerful planet-heating gas. But its biggest test will be in the legal arena at home, where conservatives on the Supreme Court have slapped down regulations the justices viewed as White House overreach.

EPA Administrator Michael Regan in a statement called the rule a “strong action” that “significantly” curbs methane pollution.

However, the gas and oil industry is not the major emitter of methane: Agriculture is.

The Global Methane Budget synthesizes results from top-down studies and bottom-up estimates to provide global figures for methane emissions from 2008 to 2017. The largest source of anthropogenic methane emissions is agriculture, responsible for around one quarter of emissions, closely followed by the energy sector, which includes emissions from coal, oil, natural gas and biofuels.

So this move signals that methane will join carbon dioxide as another enemy gas. Eventually, because cows generate methane as part of their digestive cattle ranches and dairy farms are likely to be targeted as part of the “War on Meat”.

In fact, today is “Cow Day” at the United Nations climate conference in Dubai:

Global food systems- including farming and land use, livestock production, household food consumption and waste, and energy used in the farm and food retail sectors – account for 31% of human-made greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, according to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

But few governments have ever published numeric targets for lowering those emissions, focusing instead mostly on the use of fossil fuels for power, transport and industry, according to climate advocates.

“Business as usual food systems would use nearly the whole carbon budget for a 2-degree Celsius world. We need to implement food systems approaches throughout COP28,” said Joao Campari, global leader of food practice at the World Wildlife Fund.

And if the agency can’t target meat using air pollution rules, it may do so via water pollution rules.”

    https://trendingpoliticsnews.com/blm-rioters-who-torched-an-atlanta-wendys-in-2020-get-probation-500-cmc/

“Following Brooks’ death, riots erupted at the site of the shooting and the surrounding area. The Wendy’s where Brooks was shot was soon torched by arsonists in what became a widely recognized image from the year-long.

In the days immediately following the blaze, armed BLM militants moved into the area and set up blockades, which prevented law enforcement and other emergency services from accessing the area.

On Saturday, 11 Alive reported that two suspects charged with torching the Wendy’s had accepted generous plea deals. Chisom Kingston and Natalie White were each sentenced to five years of probation, court records show.

Both Kingston and White will also be forced to complete 150 hours of community service and pay a $500 fine. A third suspect, John Wade, was indicted for his role in starting the blaze this past January.

According to an analysis from The Guardian, upwards of 99 percent of charges brought against Black Lives Matter rioters in 2020 were dropped by local prosecutors.”

“Maybe This Idiocy Will Finally Break Trump Derangement Syndrome Fever Forever”

    https://pjmedia.com/victoria-taft/2023/12/03/maybe-this-idiocy-will-finally-break-trump-derangement-syndrome-fever-n4924437

“Donald Trump is to blame for the plummeting marriage rate in the United States of America. I “know” this is “true” because the online paragon of truth-telling, Salon, said so. But there’s an upside to this idiocy: this drive-by retcon is so dumb it could break the fever of those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The United States is seeing fewer marriages and less than replacement-level birth rates. Women outnumber men in college. Men are dismissed as “toxic.” It is a threat to the longterm survival of the United States. And Salon blames Donald Trump.

Salon writer Amanda Marcotte was recently triggered by an insufficiently woke Washington Post editorial warning that fewer young American women are getting married because “they can’t find suitable partners.” The Post basically claimed that these women aren’t getting married because far-left politics have become their religion and their identity, and suitable (read sane) men don’t drink their Identitarianism Flavor-Aid. These men have grown more conservative.

Salon concludes, naturally, that this is obviously Donald Trump’s fault.

“Supporting Trump is much like refusing to bathe, blowing your nose in your hands or farting loudly on purpose,” the TDS- suffering Marcotte writes. “It’s a repugnant habit that makes you repulsive to normal people,” says the writer. She elides where the fault lies, beginning her piece with the idea that Trump-supporting men are having a tough time finding women to settle down with. In fact, it’s the young, angry, Democrat women who are so closed-minded that they refuse to cross party lines to date. The Post notes a 2021 opinion survey of college students which found 71 percent of Democrats refuse to date across political lines. Republicans were far more willing to date across party lines, but Marcott writes if they’re Trump supporters, “it’s bringing someone into your home who ascribes to an ideology in which you are not fully human.”

The women in the Democrat cohort have grown more left since the 2016 election. “[T]he percentage of single women ages 18-30 who identify as liberal has shot up from slightly over 20 percent to 32 percent. Young men have not followed suit. If anything, they have grown more conservative,” the Post writes. ”

The young men are treated like second class citizens, especially the white ones. They can see the obvious, women, not so much.

  11. Re: “The Atlantic is Never Trump trash, so not surprised. You read what feeds your appetite. We all do.” Was this you, AJ? Sounds like you, as you have said something similar in the past.

In actuality, I have not read any pieces on Trump, that I recall, in The Atlantic. If I have, articles about Trump are not my main interest in reading material, and I have read much more on other subjects, usually not even political in nature. In fact, the pieces I read tend to lean more to the moderate or conservative side, although I might read a liberal-leaning piece to educate myself on what is being said on a particular matter.

I hope for your sake that that part about “what feeds your appetite” is not completely true in your case. The tweets and quotes you share are often filled with crude and contemptuous language, to say the least. The way Kurt Schlichter writes, even if one were to agree with his arguments, is beyond crude, and full of contempt. “Catturd” is another one that makes me shake my head at the language and tone used.

  12. From a Vanity Fair piece:

~ … (The book “Blinded by Might”) was a contrition-laden confessional called Blinded by Might, coauthored by Pastor Ed Dobson, the onetime Liberty University dean and Falwell confidant who had been present at the founding of the Moral Majority. The authors provided a damning window into the rise of the religious right: Given how the Scopes Trial had humiliated fundamentalists in the 1920s, and how progressives had hijacked both Church and culture in the 1960s, Thomas and Dobson recalled believing that Ronald Reagan’s presidency represented “the greatest moment of opportunity for conservative Christians” since the dawn of the twentieth century. “We were on our way to changing America,” the authors wrote. “We had the power to right every wrong and cure every ill.”

… But they didn’t change America—at least, not in the manner they had hoped.

Thomas and Dobson acknowledged, in the pages of their book, that they had not ushered in the sort of kingdom-on-earth spiritual utopia about which they and so many American evangelicals fantasized. In fact, there was evidence to suggest that the country was angrier, more antagonistic, more fearful, more divided—less Christlike—because of the Moral Majority. If Jesus was known for hating sin and loving sinners, American evangelicals were known for hating both. The movement’s short-term electoral gains had come at a steep cost. Not only had the culture moved further away from them; the Church had sacrificed its distinctiveness in the process. “We think it is time to admit that because we are using the wrong weapons, we are losing the battle,” Thomas and Dobson wrote.

… This “seduction by power,” the authors wrote, was sabotaging the message of Christ. Winning campaigns had become more important than winning converts; scolding the culture had become more important than sanctifying the Church. Mustering some fire and brimstone of their own, Thomas and Dobson warned their old boss Falwell—and his many descendants, biological and otherwise—to stop confusing “spiritual authority for political authority.” …

  14. We’ve been able to encourage people lately by reminding them of how Jesus handled the woman at the well.

    He did NOT condemn her.
He did NOT condone her behavior.
When she spoke the truth, he commended her.

We’ve been telling people who have trouble with what they think God is saying to them, that the can tell where that voice–even if it’s an inner voice–is coming from by the above three Cs.

Jesus does not condemn. (If the voice in your head is condemning you or your behavior, it’s NOT from God).

Jesus does not condone, agree with, behavior that contradicts the Ten Commandments or his reminder to “love one another.”

He commends us when we follow his words, speak the truth in LOVE, and seek to serve him–even if it’s hard for us to do.

  15. Yesterday someone asked what is a faith based business. Covenant Trucking is a faith based business located in my region.

I work at another faith based business in the same region. Our company has over 6000 employees and is a closely held business that has been owned and managed by the same family for over 65 years.

The family prays over the company daily. They put their Christian principles into action in the decisions they make. They pay a living wage, have an optional retirement program that they pay matching funds into, give an annual profit sharing bonus, provide affordable health insurance, provide short term disability at no cost to employees, and much more. They have never laid off anyone in over 65 years. They are serious about their faith and care about their employees and it shows in the way they conduct their personal lives and their business.

I was asked to provide a birth certificate, green card, or naturalization papers to prove I was eligible to be employed, and a marriage license to prove that my husband was eligible to be insured under my policy. This is legal and reasonable.

  16. To go along with M’s comment and this portion of the quote from DJ’s post – “Winning campaigns had become more important than winning converts; scolding the culture had become more important than sanctifying the Church.”

I wish I could remember where I read it, but here is the gist of a piece I read recently: The writer, a Christian man, wrote about posting on social media. He said that he was sometimes tempted to post in the currently popular way, with snark, sarcasm, put-downs, etc. but that as a Christian, he knew that he couldn’t do that because we are not supposed to sound like the world. We are supposed to be known by our love and humility, even to (especially to) our supposed enemies.

Along those lines, here is a piece I just read earlier today in World, “Broken city – Praying for our nation today—and trusting in God for tomorrow,” by Lynn Vincent:

Justice is applied unequally; it doesn’t matter the crime. Location, the judge, quality of the lawyers, class, race etc all help determine the results of justice. The complaints of those who support Jan 6 rioters are precisely the reasons why many argue against the death penalty. The court system is rarely if ever applied equally.

The reaction on twitter to the demonstrations in a shopping area are amusing. The best is this “This is an invasion of people who are wholly incompatible with our culture and way of life.” — they protested in a shopping centre — is the culture and way of life they are incompatible with called “shopping”. Now that’s some faux outrage.

Covenant Trucking requires proof of eligibility to work—the same proof required of me. But they got fined by the DOJ for their trouble .

Even here, people complain about their job. You can’t change human nature. You can submit yourself to God willingly, and he will help you change. But apart from that, we are unable to make the fundamental changes necessary. And too many people make a career out of whining and don’t want to change. :–/
