  1. 🙂 Nice driving weather and good temps. for this time of year.

😦 No insulation on the ground yet for those who will need it. Frozen pipes and septic systems are no fun for anyone. We will probably have enough snow when the real cold sets in, though. It is cold enough for the ski hills to make snow, so that is good.

🙂 The joy on senior’s faces when the music group plays. One lady came up to me as I was helping break down the equipment. She thanked me for the group coming and then started to cry. She apologized and called herself stupid for that. I assured her that I cry at the drop of a pin these days myself and even, my girls (who used to laugh at me) have started to do the same. Not stupid at all. Softened, grateful hearts are a gift.

🙂 I love the Christmas season. What joy!

  2. 🙂 I rarely get through our Sunday services anymore without tears welling up, tears of gratitude and awe at it all.

🙂 Today should be busy, the plan is to storm through the house to get things ready for decorating. It’s kind of now or never. But I have no time during the week with work.

😦 We’re “on” for a one-day walkout in the next couple weeks, though few of us expect it will change much other than provide one less day of pay. But it is what it is.

🙂 My neighbor’s knee surgery went well, thank you for all who prayed. What a huge burden that will take off the both of them, finally. Done. Of course, the rehab comes next but no more surgeries, only way ahead is up. At least that’s the plan!

😦 A new book release (written by a believer who is also a journalist) looks good but painful. “The Kingdom, the Power and the Glory.” One headline about it: ~ How American Evangelicalism Became ‘Mister Rogers With a Blowtorch’ ~ Ouch, but sadly too often in this season we’re in, yes. 😦

🙂 Walked Abby last night and even more lights have gone up in our neighborhood — it’s all so beautiful! And makes for such a peaceful walk (though with a few Abby-yanks on the leash, of course, we don’t go too slowly 🙂 )

🙂 I love walking dogs at night during this season. 🙂

😀 Church and Sunday school party tomorrow

😒 Trying to leave off coffee to see if it will lower my blood pressure

😀 Lights in the neighborhood are pretty and up early (last year a neighbor was late with his big display and we worried about his health)

😀 Anticipate a wonderful Christmas music program at church

😀 Amazon orders are delivered on time or ahead of time

😒 The fog and high humidity zapped my energy since we’d been very dry for a long stretch
