UFC champion Conor McGregor is reportedly being investigated for “online hate speech” after he expressed anger over the stabbing of 5 people including 3 children and blasted Ireland for their mass migration policies.
“She was abducted by an evil terrorist organization. What is with you and your government and your paid for media affiliates constantly down playing / attempting to repress horrific acts that happen to children. You are a disgrace. Anger over the murder of children is now “hate speech.” Dante better create some more rings. https://t.co/QX0bsTilkp
Complaining about the negative effects of globalism on your cities and countries is the only crime still prosecuted by the government. https://t.co/clzLtdyNdm

Since the NYT version isn’t clear, the reason she is disfigured is that she blew up her car bomb early because she was confronted by an Israeli police officer (Moshe Chen, who was injured in the explosion and still has not fully recovered) before she could reach her target. pic.twitter.com/MsK3dqc3ry
You know I’m really starting to think that allowing institutional capture by antisemites in the name of wokeness was a bad idea https://t.co/B9AqzRdPwC
I question the "news judgment." Since NYT intentionally seeks to deceive via the headline, ask yourself: why choose to write about her at all, given that otherwise it's a random "human interest" story, not newsworthy?
Describing an attempted suicide car bomber as "a disfigured woman whose case has become well known" is like referring to Ed Gein as "an interior decorator with innovative style" https://t.co/ZSHGCOpSh3

This shouldn't shock me anymore but it still does.
Nothing like omitting important context (suicide bomber who survived the detonation) in the headline for some top-notch journalism quality. https://t.co/4VBVApsI0m
President Biden promised to improve the American economy, but his top-down, ideological policies work against the American free market. His spending triggered double-digit inflation, and his burdensome regulations add to the problem.#WickerReporthttps://t.co/rpW90GGxbk

““Pro-Palestinian” Student Mob Hunted ‘Pro-Israel’ Jewish teacher at Queens (NYC) High School
“Hundreds of kids flooded into hallways and ran amok, chanting, jumping, shouting, and waving Palestinian flags or banners. Many tried to barge into the teacher’s classroom despite school staffers blocking their entry.””
“The “pro-Palestinian” movement sure is looking like the “pro-Pogrom” movement not only on college campuses, but also in lower grades. In the “old days” it was Al Sharpton and others whipping the black community into an antisemitic frenzy fed by a mixture of anti-white racism and antisemitism, now it’s organized on social media, particularly TikTok.
The latest example was at Hillcrest High School in Queens, New York. The NY Post reports, Pro-Israel teacher hides in Queens high school as ‘radicalized’ students riot: ‘They want her fired’:
Hundreds of “radicalized” kids rampaged through the halls of a Queens high school this week for nearly two hours after they discovered a teacher had attended a pro-Israel rally — forcing the terrified educator to hide in a locked office as the teen mob tried to push its way into her classroom, The Post has learned.
The mayhem at Hillcrest High School in Jamaica unfolded shortly after 11 a.m. Monday in what students called a pre-planned protest over the teacher’s Facebook profile photo showing her at a pro-Israel rally on Queens Oct. 9 holding a poster saying, “I stand with Israel.”
“The teacher was seen holding a sign of Israel, like supporting it,” a senior told The Post this week.
“A bunch of kids decided to make a group chat, expose her, talk about it, and then talk about starting a riot.”
Hundreds of kids flooded into hallways and ran amok, chanting, jumping, shouting, and waving Palestinian flags or banners.
Many tried to barge into the teacher’s classroom despite school staffers blocking their entry.
“Everyone was yelling ‘Free Palestine!’” a senior said.
“Everyone was screaming ‘(The teacher) needs to go!’” a ninth-grader said.”

The vile show of antisemitism at Hillcrest High School was motivated by ignorance-fueled hatred, plain and simple, and it will not be tolerated in any of our schools, let alone anywhere else in our city.
“One of the fads in the liberal media is Trump horror stories—Apocalypse Trump, should he be re-elected president.
The Los Angeles Times gets you the inside baseball action with an article headlined “Trump promises vengeance and power grabs if he wins in 2024. Here’s the plan.” Save yourself the trouble of looking; there are no named sources to almost any of these descriptions of Trump 2.0, though they are presented as certainties.
The Times begins with Inauguration Day, stating as fact “anticipating widespread protests against his second term, Trump and allies reportedly are drafting plans to invoke the Insurrection Act in his first hours back in the White House—thereby confirming the expected protesters’ likely point: Trump is a danger to liberty and constitutional governance.” The author doesn’t seem to remember how the Insurrection Act, last used in 1992 to quell riots in L.A., did not end liberty and/or the Constitution. (But it wasn’t Trump, you see!)
And that’s just one of many MAGA plans in the works, as the Washington Post reported, all aimed at making good on what the writer feels is Trump’s central promise of the 2024 campaign: retribution. According to the Post, Trump allies are “mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents,” even naming individuals to be prosecuted. Ironic, given Trump has been double-chin–deep in five legal battles, two with the federal government, since he left office, and that the FBI was used even while he was in office to spy on him in an effort to prove he was a Russian agent.
It’s ironic Trump has all these supposed plans to use the judicial system against his enemies. First, of course, because, having declared himself something of a dictator, you’d think Trump could bypass all that innocent-until-proven-guilty stuff that bogs down trials to just kick in doors. Why would Dictator Trump bother with “justice” at all? After all, wrote the Los Angeles Times, “His obnoxious outbursts this week in his New York civil trial over financial skulduggery were just the latest evidence of his disdain for the law and the judicial system.”
No one will be immune from his attacks. Jen Psaki warned MSNBC viewers that if Trump regains office, he will “unravel the rule of law as we know it.” Jamelle Bouie of the New York Times said that “it looks an awful lot like a set of plans meant to give the former president the power and unchecked authority of a strongman.”
One cornerstone of Apocalypse Trump theories is that he controls a zombie army of MAGA believers he can direct against adversaries—“targeting,” in the words of one judge. Another reason to question his “planned” use of the court system. Why not just release the hounds? After all, why not make good on his claim that, under the Constitution’s Article II, “I have the right to do whatever I want as president”?
Nonetheless, the system it is. Trump has vowed to appoint a special prosecutor to “go after” President Biden and his family. The Washington Post reported Trump told advisers he wants the Justice Department to investigate his former chief of staff, John Kelly, his former attorney general Bill Barr, as well as his ex-attorney Ty Cobb and former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley. Trump also talks of prosecuting officials at the FBI/Justice Department.
Here’s how it will work, using justice to commit unjust acts. The Post, to the rescue of the confused, said, “To facilitate Trump’s ability to direct Justice Department actions, his associates have been drafting plans to dispense with 50 years of policy and practice intended to shield criminal prosecutions from political considerations.”
“It would resemble a banana republic if people came into office and started going after their opponents willy-nilly,” Saikrishna Prakash, a constitutional law professor at the University of Virginia, told the Post. “It’s hardly something we should aspire to.”
If irony were water, we’d all have drowned by now.
It wouldn’t be a party unless the New York Times weighed in. They succinctly stated, “Donald J. Trump and his allies are planning a sweeping expansion of presidential power over the machinery of government if voters return him to the White House in 2025, reshaping the structure of the executive branch to concentrate far greater authority directly in his hands. Mr. Trump intends to bring independent agencies under direct presidential control.”
He’ll do this by “stripping employment protections from tens of thousands of career civil servants, making it easier to replace them if they are deemed obstacles to his agenda. He plans to scour the intelligence agencies, the State Department and the defense bureaucracies to remove officials he has vilified as ‘the sick political class that hates our country.’”
In turn, the New Republic offered an article headlined “Inside Trump’s Fascist Plan to Control All Federal Agencies if He Wins.” Tom Nichols wrote in the Atlantic that there are “plans for a dictatorship that should appall every American.”
Let’s not forget everyone’s favorite Apocalypse Trump subject, immigration. There, according to the New York Times, Trump is conjuring up “sweeping raids, giant camps and mass deportations.”
The Times claims, “If he regains power, Donald Trump wants not only to revive some of the immigration policies criticized as draconian during his presidency, but expand and toughen them.”
Trump supposedly plans to ban people from Muslim-majority nations and reimpose a Covid-era policy of refusing asylum claims based on his feeling migrants carry other infectious diseases like tuberculosis. He plans to deputize local police officers and the National Guard voluntarily contributed by Republican-run states to carry out sweeping raids. And to get around any refusal by Congress to appropriate funds, Trump would redirect money in the military budget.
Are you not entertained? That may be the only purpose of the Apocalypse Trump genre: garnering clicks. It stands to reason that to keep the snowball rolling, the claims toward the Apocalypse, the tall tales, need to become increasingly dramatic, topping yesterday’s dopamine hit. Do a quick Google search using the phrase “Trump will seize control” to see the latest alongside the greatest hits.
These types of stories were popular during Trump 1.0, putting words into his mouth and distorting those that came out, assigning nefarious intent to even the simplest Executive Order. A favorite fretted over Trump seizing control of the FEMA emergency broadcast system and the whole Internet to disseminate propaganda and control his minions. NBC News helpfully uncovered the fact “Trump can’t use FEMA’s wireless alerts to send personal messages” a question which apparently had not come up previously in the 70-odd-years the original Cold War system has been in place.
A second driver of all this “journalism” is a desperate attempt to convince on-the-fence voters to not vote for Trump. After all, the Los Angeles Times made their intent for this advocacy pretty clear: “Too many voters are disengaged, grumpy that their choice seems to be coming down to Trump vs. Biden. As if those choices were comparably distasteful when, in fact, one is vanilla and the other is nitroglycerin.”
The idea is to use the tools of the media to scare the proles into not voting for Trump for fear of bringing on the end of Constitutional government in the United States. You’d think people would be tired by now of these “sky is falling” pronouncements, but apparently you’d be wrong given the sheer bulk of them, and the crazier-than-last-time feel most have.
The possible effectiveness of this strategy assumes most Trump voters, something close to 50 percent of the entire country, are too dumb to see what is right in front of them—fascism itself. But since Trump has not been kind enough to write out a Mein Kampf–like manifesto of all the dastardly deeds he intends to do, America’s liberal media has to do it for him.
Never mind that Trump is the only recent president not to start or join a new war; he is a war monger. Never mind Trump tried to restart relations with North Korea via old-fashioned diplomacy; we are on the verge of nuclear disaster. Never mind the state of the economy or the decisions on Covid that resonate well in hindsight; he is wrong, clownishly wrong. Never mind that Trump has participated according to the law in every legal action against him; he does not believe in the rule of law. “
“One of the major reasons why Americans are divided and hostile toward each other is that we live in alternate universes.
Not literally, but functionally.
We have all seen the polls that show Americans have been losing trust in the MSM for a long time. Only 36% of Americans say they have a “great deal” or “fair amount” of trust in the MSM, but this fact hides an important distinction: the majority of Democrats trust the MSM, while Republicans have given up on getting anything remotely close to the truth from the MSM.
Republicans have earned their distrust not just because they are often lied about and can’t help but notice this fact, but also because they are literally unable to avoid getting the majority of their news from MSM news sources, while consciously exposing themselves to alternative points of view.
Democrats rarely do. They automatically distrust alternative or conservative media and tend to trust without question what they hear from the MSM. This is not because they are universally stupid or uninterested in the news, but because they are inclined to trust the “misinformation” narrative. An example: I had an argument with a liberal about a fact, not an opinion or judgment. He asked for a source and I sent him a Google search. The top 3 hits were conservative sites and he automatically dismissed it as “misinformation.” I dug and found the statistic from the original source and he was shocked.
He disbelieved it because the only news media that covered it was conservative. Once I found the original stat from the government it suddenly became credible.
As often as not the MSM shapes the narrative by choosing what to report, lying by omission. Conservatives and many independents distrust the MSM because they get other parts of the story and are able to round out the picture. Even if Fox didn’t cover something, they likely got the facts from the MSM or the independent media they read. It is harder to be ignorant of the larger picture if you distrust the media and shop around for news to get a bigger picture.
This is how very smart people appear to be so stupid about the world: they get a picture curated by people they wrongly trust. This could apply to people who only watch Fox News, which obviously curates and spins as well. I have been struck by how many people I disagree with don’t have fundamentally different values, but rather a very constrained set of facts.
Of course, the MSM lies as well, and does so quite frequently.”

“Reuters knows that the hostages being released by Hamas aren’t soldiers (neither are the terrorists Hamas is getting), but they casually drop the term into their headline to fundamentally alter your perception of what is happening. A POW exchange is a lot different than the negotiated release of people held hostage for 50 days–women and children who have nothing to do with the war except by being victims of evil terrorists.
Using “soldiers” was a conscious choice. Reuters knew who was being released, knew their circumstances, knew how they were captured, and knew that they weren’t “released” but ransomed. They framed the story to manipulate the audience.
People weren’t fooled, except those who wanted to be. They received so much criticism that they deleted the headline and issued a non-apology apology, but this was not a mistake made in the fog of war. All the facts are established and well-understood. Reuters just chose to lie.
The New York Times did much the same thing, this time mischaracterizing a Hamas terrorist who was freed by Israel in exchange for the hostages.”
This "disfigured woman" is a car bomber who, having blown herself up in a an attempt to kill Israelis, demanded that Israelis pay for her plastic surgeries. This is how The New York Times covered her release. pic.twitter.com/89KXt0Wo37
“Israa Jaabees, who once released from Israel called for more violence against Israelis, was disfigured by her own car bomb burning rather than blowing up. She is a failed car bomber, but rather than explaining the circumstances of her imprisonment they downplay her clear guilt and bloodthirstiness and instead focus on her as a disfigured mom just happy to be home with her kids.
The Washington Post? Their spin is that an exchange of “captives” is going on, not a release of terrorists in exchange for innocents–putting Hamas an Israel on the same moral plane.
Another example is more obscure, but more revealing as well because the media has a greater opportunity to get away with their deception.
At issue is the perpetrator of a vicious stabbing incident in Ireland that resulted in anti-immigrant riots.
The media decided it was important to reshape the narrative and declared the perpetrator was Irish, not an Arab immigrant. Obviously this puts a very different spin on the matter–yobs assumed the violence came from the peaceful immigrants when in fact it was an Irishman who went off and stabbed innocents.”
Online rumors claimed the perpetrator of a stabbing attack was an immigrant. The BBC found that the man was an Irish citizen who had lived in the country for 20 years. Police blamed a “lunatic faction driven by a far-right ideology” for the riot in Dublin. https://t.co/cMrCCOKNGQ
“If you want to characterize the rioters as xenophobic haters it is much more convenient if the person they rioted against was not indeed an immigrant. So they simply said that he wasn’t.
The truth is that he was an immigrant from Algeria, although he had acquired Irish citizenship. This gave the media enough wiggle room to simply say he was “Irish.”
—
“LONDON — Right-wing protesters, angered by a stabbing attack they believed had involved someone of immigrant background, rampaged through central Dublin on Thursday night, leaving behind a trail of burning destruction.
Ireland’s police chief on Friday described the unrest, in which double-decker buses, trams and police cars were torched, as “scenes that we have not seen in decades.”
The violence and looting through some of Dublin’s most famous streets began after a stabbing attack outside a school that left five people hospitalized. They included three young children and a woman. Police detained a man who also is being treated for injuries.
Rumors spread online that the perpetrator of the attack was an immigrant or had an immigrant background. The BBC, citing unnamed sources, said the man was an Irish citizen who had lived in the country for 20 years.”
—
“Notice what they don’t do? Contradict the original claim that he was an immigrant. They imply he wasn’t without outright lying.
If you go read the Washington Post story you will hear no mention that the man was an Algerian immigrant, and the entire story is a screed against xenophobic “far-right” rioters. Now I don’t think rioting is the appropriate response to what happened, but when an Algerian immigrant stabs 3 young children and a woman in front of a school in the midst of a months-long anti-Western tirade by Arabs on the streets, it is hardly shocking that people got super angry.
So the media went into overdrive to change the narrative.
So there you go. In this case, there was literally an international media conspiracy to hide facts and spin a story in the most dishonest way possible.
This sort of thing happens time and again, and most Democrats have no clue because they just assume the goodwill of the media and find it inconceivable that they would lie. And because their news consumption is entirely based on mainstream sources they wind up living in an information universe entirely disconnected from ours, and hence from reality.”
The USA needs to exit from the UN (and remove it from all areas of the US) and the WHO! These are Globalist organizations (among many such others) and their goal is the absolute destruction of sovereign nations, including Israel and the USA.
If this doesn’t shake us to the core, then perhaps we are already their slaves…
“In its 59-page report released this month, the U.N. Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) outlined a series of “concrete measures which must be implemented by all stakeholders: governments, regulatory authorities, civil society, and the platforms themselves.”
This approach includes the imposition of global policies, through institutions such as governments and businesses, designed to stop the spread of various forms of speech while promoting objectives such as “cultural diversity” and “gender equality.”
In particular, the U.N. agency aims to create an “Internet of Trust” by targeting what it calls “misinformation,” “disinformation,” “hate speech,” and “conspiracy theories.”
Examples of expression flagged to be stopped or restricted include concerns about elections, public health measures, and advocacy that could constitute “incitement to discrimination.”
Critics are warning that allegations of “disinformation” and “conspiracy theories” have increasingly been used by powerful forces in government and Big Tech to silence true information and even core political speech.
Just this month, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee released a report blasting the “pseudoscience of disinformation.”
Among other concerns, the committee found this “pseudoscience” has been “weaponized” by what lawmakers refer to as the “Censorship Industrial Complex.”
The goal: silence constitutionally-protected political speech, mostly by conservatives.
“The pseudoscience of disinformation is now—and has always been—nothing more than a political ruse most frequently targeted at communities and individuals holding views contrary to the prevailing narratives,” states the congressional report, “The Weaponization of ‘Disinformation’ Pseudo-Experts and Bureaucrats.”
Indeed, many of the policies called for by UNESCO have already been implemented by U.S.-based digital platforms, often at the behest of the Biden administration, the latest congressional report makes clear.
In a recent review of the United States, a U.N. human-rights committee called for changes to the U.S. Constitution and demanded that the U.S. government do more to stop and punish “hate speech” in order to comply with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR).
Another key U.N. instrument is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states explicitly in Article 29 that “rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.”
In short, the U.N. view of “freedom of expression” is radically different from that enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.”
