Prayer Requests 11-22-23

It’s Wednesday, so please remember to pray for Joanne and The Gambia.

Anyone else have something to share?

Psalm 119:161-176

ש Sin and Shin

161 Rulers persecute me without cause,
but my heart trembles at your word.
162 I rejoice in your promise
like one who finds great spoil.
163 I hate and detest falsehood
    but I love your law.
164 Seven times a day I praise you
    for your righteous laws.
165 Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.
166 I wait for your salvation, Lord,
    and I follow your commands.
167 I obey your statutes,
    for I love them greatly.
168 I obey your precepts and your statutes,
for all my ways are known to you.

ת Taw

169 May my cry come before you, Lord;
give me understanding according to your word.
170 May my supplication come before you;
deliver me according to your promise.
171 May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
172 May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous.
173 May your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.
174 I long for your salvation, Lord,
and your law gives me delight.
175 Let me live that I may praise you,
and may your laws sustain me.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep.
    Seek your servant,
for I have not forgotten your commands.

  1. Prayer here as we decide whether or not to invite twenty two to join us for a brief meal tomorrow. We have not invited any of the others because of the heavy need for drinking and vaping and because the family is quite divided.

  2. Prayers for that decision, Mumsee.

That’s a reminder to ask for prayer here as Art and I meet Bro at Cracker Barrel for early Thanksgiving meal. We have talked by phone but I have not seen him since he vacated here in the time of his recovery.

I just ordered a Bible for Art from Christianbook for Christmas. He knows the Bible from years ago, but he has not read it much over the years. Please pray he will like this one and make reading it a new habit. Praising God that Art really is engaged with this Sunday school class.

  3. Nightingale was up too early this morning after waking from a disturbing dream, and later in the morning, she ran in the Manchester Road Race. (Which is apparently internationally recognized, with runners coming from all over the country and from other countries, although Manchester is just a small city in a small state.)

Now she is working 2nd shift to make up for not working her usual Thursday 1st shift, so she will be driving home quite tired late tonight. Please pray for safe travelling home. Thank you.
