We have a house in one of our nearby towns with that spider webbing covering the whole front yard. They have a variety of decorations. Across the street is another yard with a giant skeleton, witch and some other figure (I forget what right now). Sometimes I wonder if it is a personal competition.
We are a winter wonderland today and will just maybe hit the freezing point. I should be able to stay in snug as a bug in a rug.
I forgot to say good morning. Good morning! Lots of frost on the ground but it is warming. Husband is off to the highway district conference in Boise. Seventeen is emptying the hot tub so it can be refilled. Sixteen is doing schoolwork. My dad is napping, hoping the frost will melt off, opening some time for corn hole. Son in law is probably enjoying his time without small folk for a bit. And today is of course laundry day.
It’s either the rapture of the blog family or everyone is engaged in devouring leftover Halloween candy. Hands are too occupied to be on a keyboard posting comments. I had a few chocolate chips to acknowledge the occasion.
It was quiet here tonight, usually we have throngs of loud children running down the the streets, but I didn’t hear that this year. I wasn’t feeling well this afternoon, hit with a headache and upset stomach (feel better now).
But I hadn’t planned to give out candy anyway, hadn’t gotten any which guaranteed that plan.
I’m off Friday to go stand in line at the DMV to get that test taken and license renewed. Then next week will be mostly off work as well with the cataract surgery planned for Wednesday (and I’m taking Tuesday off then will be off recovering Thursday-Friday),
The time changes this weekend, my cousin informed me tonight.
Happy Candy Day!
Wow on that header! Good one, NJ!
I told Art this morning that the guy with the leaf blower had been on our roof again. He looked surprised and said, “Really?”
I told him God had been up there with His wind. The driveway is covered with leaves.

It’s 50° but feels like 45°, and we have a freeze warning for tonight. Warm costumes are needed for tonight.

Web hammocks!
The decorations are definitely competitive (as are the ones during Christmas).
We’re still getting cold nights and mornings, warm afternoons, and the air is very dry.

No tricksters or treaters here.
